The positive review of this college can be its placement and alumni network both the things are very good in vit. the negative thing as a student to me about vit is they are very strict about rules and regulation of the college

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum of vit is up to the industry demand they teach what the exact demand of the industry is For a student admitted Vit university he or she has to pass through many exams to pass the semester there are two CATs and one FAT and Digital Assignment CAT stands for Continuous Assessment test they are conducted in every 2 months they are of 50 marks each and carry 15 marks in overall grading FAT stands for Final Assessment test and it is the sem end exam and it is of 100 marks and carry 40 marks in overall grading Digital Assignment carries 30 marks during a semester there are 3 Digital Assignment After passing all these the student is graded.

Placement Experience :

Placement of VIT are very food for the branch CSE ,ECM and ECE almost all the student get placed in the core company with a median salary 6lpa Companies like Microsoft, Amazon etc visit for placement and internship offer. Mechanical people have to work hard to get placed in core companies

College Events :

There are many events conducted by vit Chennai but the TechnoVit the annual tech fest of vit Chennai is conducted every year in month of September and Vibrance the annual cultural fest of Vit Chennai is conducted in the month of February many artist come here to perform

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

VIT provides no Scholarship here however you can talk loan from bank bu tin vit no scholarship is provided and if your VITEEE rank is under 1K they will provide you scholarship with some conditions applies

Campus Life :

Labs and sports here are quite a good students here can be developed all around bot academically and non academically. There are various labs all equipped wit air conditioner we have all the major sports courts.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel here in vit chennai are quite good they have a very good infrastructure the hostel here are clean and well maintained. On an average, hostel and mess would cost you around 80k-100k.There are 3 different mess in VIT namely veg, non-veg and special. veg is the cheapest and special mess the costliest, the latter costing around 65k.Coming to rooms Single AC is 90k, four ac around 44k-47k (not very sure about 4 bedded ac rooms). Girls have single, double, four and six bedded ac/ non- ac rooms while boys have an extra option of three bedded ac/non-ac rooms. During the first year, rooms are allotted on the basis of admission while later, on the basis of your cgpa.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni of VIT is quite good.They are Spread all over the world and there is association VITAA which meets and they guide the upcoming student for the changes in industry and how they can prepare for iy.

Admission :

VITEEE is the university level exam. VITEEE for admission into a deemed university i.e. Vellore Institute of Technology, having four campuses i.e. Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal. The exam was taken by approx 3 lakh students across India. VIT sees the largest number of applicants among deemed universities because of its placement record, especially for the computer science branch in the IT sector. A reason which makes VITEEE more popular than any other entrance exam and among CBSE school students is that it is based on the NCERT school syllabus. Physics: 40 questions Chemistry: 40 questions Mathematics: 40 questions

Faculty :

Faculty of college are highly educated they have a very good knowledge of subject matter all the faculty here have done a Ph.D. degree and they are always ready to help the student in any problem. They are always ready to solve doubts

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
