Remarks :
I would hate to tell you that the biggest negative here I found till now is the chairman of this college who is an old hittler. Every person (including faculty and students) hates and fears him the most. I would guide you to stay away from him as much as possible otherwise other things/persons are good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As college is affiliated to UTU (which is a state government University) so all the curriculum is made there. From a couple of years University is changing syllabus every year, even subjects are increasing - decreasing and they are trying to upgrade but not like other good universities here. And now (2019) they are far behind the mark to be one of the good(i would say average) University in India.
Placement Experience :
Placement are not good here if you are in branches like Mechanical/Civil/Electrical but are average for CSE/Electronics or for other courses which college offers like B.Agri., B.Pharma, B.B.A. and Diploma. College don't offer any In - Campus internships. They offer eligibility certificate from 2nd year to their students through which you can apply for internships in companies/colleges.
College Events :
I will start from the beginning i.e. Fresher's Party which is normally planned in the month of September. After that there are many small festive celebration's on different Indian festival's. Then there is Annual Fest for all students which is conducted in the month of April. There is also a Farewell for end year students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is very feasible here as compared to other colleges of same standard. I myself had compared it with other colleges which are affiliated to UTU. For B.TECH students, you can expect hardly around ?1lac annually (in 2019) excluding hostel/mess charges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
University offers scholarships (known as TFW scheme) to students from the state of Uttrakhand whose family's annual income is less than ?3lac (for which you have to show Income Certificate issued by state government). For that you should have your score card of JEE Main and income certificate. Then you have to enroll in online counselling in University website through which they merit students and provides scholarship (in which you don't have to pay "tuition fees" in alloted college).
Campus Life :
There are football, cricket, volleyball etc. matches with other colleges in Dehradun. Labs are decent and are equipped with required equipments. There are activities (outdoor as well as indoor) planned for students by college, University and UGC.
Hostel Facilities :
I'm a day scholar but I had been in hostel in my friend room therefore from my opinion I will rate it 2 out of 10. There is a small room with three roomates. They provide a separate single bed, study table, chair and a locker to every hostler. My friends complaints about food taste everytime and outing time is also very less that's why most of the hostler changes to PG(Paying Guest) or lives in rented rooms. Talking about facilities, there is a canteen (Tasty Food), gym (which i have never seen), wifi (with poorest speed) and an average library.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are best and you will find no trace of ragging here. I found most of my seniors helpful in any manner. They can guide you with mostly every regulations/rules and neccesties you need. I haven't heard any case of ragging in campus and you dont have to worry about this thing.
Admission :
I got my admission through Uttrakhand Technical University (UTU) entry scheme in which you need your JEE MAINS score. University offer scholarships to student's with good score in JEE Main (this scheme is only for applicant's of State Of Uttrakhand) otherwise you can take admission by visiting college directly with your documents.
Faculty :
Faculty are little above average here as compared to some colleges around. Faculties of some subjects like physics, chemistry etc. changes frequently here but other are stable and have decent experience.
