Remarks :
The college lacks Social and Cultural Activities. You can't expect much from the faculties. Peer to peer learning is the way. And you have to push yourself. The college though, does provide a great LAN speed and LRCs which are equipped with proper lighting and air conditioning for students to study.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The best thing about the course curriculum is that most of the non-core subjects are taught only in the first semester. From the second semester onwards almost all the subjects are core subjects besides one or two non-core subjects. The subjects in the curriculum are quite relevant though you can't depend on the faculty to teach you everything. You have to study yourself. Each semester has 2 minor exams during the semester and one major exam at the end of the semester. There is also 1 lab minor exam and 1 lab major exam.
Placement Experience :
The college invites good companies for internships and placements though for the big companies you have to try offcampus. Each year the placement packages are getting better. Almost everyone gets placed at the end of the course.
College Events :
There are 2 major fests:Aurora-The cultural fest and Infotsav: The technical fest. All the other events like Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, Diwali Celebration(Dandiya Night) and a few DJ nights along the way are also organized.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible keeping in mind that education in general is getting costlier. Being a government institute the fee is lower than than the private ones. So in general the fee structure is quite feasible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college does give out scholarships to financially weak but meritorious children. Student loans are provided but you have to inquire about the procedure more yourself. The mails are sent about when portal for applying for scholarship is opened.
Campus Life :
There were almost negligible extra curricular activities. Although this has improved a bit now. Annual cultural fest-Aurora and annual Technical fest-Infotsav is also held. Labs are fine. You won't necessarily feel the lack of any equipment. Students here are quite interested in sports. The college provides a good sports complex.
Hostel Facilities :
The Hostels are just fine. Though the mess food is mostly not upto the mark. One perk of being a student here is that you get single occupancy rooms from first year itself for girls and from second year for boys.
Alumni/Alumna :
It is very important for you to have good relations with your seniors here. Seniors are quite helpful in helping you with academics as well as in helping you to explore and learn various kinds of software and hardware development and coding. The alumi network is good. It is important to connect with them through LinkedIn. They help out by providing referrals.
Admission :
You have to take the JEE-Mains exam and qualify it. The cutoff for this college including all the three courses is approximately between 6000-30000 in the General Common Rank List. Class 12 percentage/grades is not given weightage but you need to have more than 75% to be eligible for admission in this college. The counselling is conducted by JoSAA.
Faculty :
You can't expect much from the faculty. They are busy grabbing power. Most of them here are here just for the sole purpose of earning money. Though some professors are quite good as well. Most of the faculty is quite conservative as well.
