Baljit Jakohotra's Review On Bells Institute Of Management & Technology, Shimla

Remarks :

Its still in its budding phase and so has to work a lot on placement opportunities. The college needs to tie up with companies and organize interviews for students passing out from this college. Also, they need to toughen up their process of selecting the faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is carefully structured keeping in mind the corporate requirements in today's time. The duration of this course is 2 years, each year divided into 2 semesters. There are semester exams and sessionals which is combined together to arrive at final results.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees paid to obtain education for this course is pretty feasible if you look at other management colleges around. For this course of 2 years, the total educational fees is INR 1.47 Lakhs, that is excluding the hostel fees.

Campus Life :

A number of extracurricular activities are held to make it a happy and happening experience for the children. Required labs, cultural activities and sports field is also provided and students can choose one depending on their interest. Gym is also made available for those who want to workout.

Hostel Facilities :

This college is home to separate hostel for boys and girls. While the boys hostel has more number of inmates than the girls hostel, both the hostels have same facilities such as food, lodging, drinking water, electricity, internet, medical facilities and leisure room, to make the students feel at home.

Admission :

Admission to MBA degree in this college can be obtained by clearing either CMAT exam or HPU MAT exam conducted every year. Once you've cleared the exam, you'll get counselling and group discussion for the same at the college campus and then you'll be selected based on your performance.

Faculty :

The faculty is somewhat experienced and knows the way to teach the children. There are total 60 seats for MBA students and faculties are divided proportionally to them. They opt for an interactive way of education, however many of them do have the knowledge but lack communication skills to effectively deliver.

Placement Experience:

As the MBA program at IIT Mandi is relatively new, the first batch is currently undergoing placements. The institute's dedicated Career and Placement Cell indicates a commitment to facilitating placements for students. While specific placement statistics may be limited for now, the focus on creating a structured placement process suggests that the institution is proactive in ensuring employability for its graduates. In the absence of detailed placement data, students can leverage the support of the placement cell and actively pursue opportunities aligned with their career goals post-graduation.

Placement Experience:

Our college placement committee is very dedicated and they are also very supportive. The committee guides you and assists you throughout the placement process. Companies like Honda, Procter & Gamble, Yes Bank, Citi Bank, ITC, Cipla, Indigo, visit the campus. As the placement packages are not so huge but according to the status of the college and according to the program fee, the placement is worth it. The highest package for our batch was around 12 LPA and the lowest was 7 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is very good in terms of placement and the faculty is very good the faculty to student ratio is a little bit low it is 22/1 the college is going through the death of faculties but it is going to work on it and with the time the situation will get better and qualification of the faculties, of course, all are very qualified all have PHP in their respective departments and if I talk about exams were twice in a semester first as a midterm examination with the weightage of 40% and rest as a final examination with the ratio of 60% the difficulty level is moderate if you can easily pass if you read one or two our daily or you can go for binge night study before 2-3 days of
