Remarks :

Positive is that my College is one of the Top Colleges in TamilNadu. So I can get atmost facilities and Modern Technologies here. Placements are comparatively very high. The College is totally free and you can do whatever here. Negative is since its a Government College, you cannot expect the amenities provided by Private Colleges like Food, Transportation, Security and safety.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Main External Exams were conducted every semester(six Months) and two Internals will be Conducted per semester. Every semester at least two Laboratory sessions and five Theory sessions will be there for whatever department you choose. The Course Curriculum is newly updated as per 2015 Regulations and the entire syllabus will be new.

Placement Experience :

Placements and Job Opportunities and one of the highest in TamilNadu. Salary Packages ranges from 3.5LPA to 30LPA. Top Tech Giant Companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Myntra, Uber, Caterpillar, AshokLeland, Hyundai, Renault Nissan offer Jobs and Interviews every year. The College itself doesn't provide any Internships but recommends for many Internships. I got an Internship from AshokLeland where I got trained in real works and got stipend of 7000 Rs. Many Companies like Zoho,Samsung,Wipro,Cognizant,Caterpillar Offer Internships with higher stipend.

College Events :

There are two main Cultural Programs in our College. One is Sivaranjini(Odd Semester) and the other is Mitafest(Even Semester). Other than that every semester each department Conduct State Level and National Level Symposiums. The main speciality is every department symposium happens separately and weekends. So it will be like a festival. Other Clubs like Rotract,PDA,Robotics also conduct different symposiums each semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee is the cheapest in the City. Since it is a Government College, most of the fee are undertaken by the Government. For each Semester, the maximum amount you have to pay as fee will be below 13k. Unbelievable? Wait. As I'm a First graduate, my Odd Semester fee is 5k and even semester fee is 4.2k

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The College provides various Government Scholarships and Loan Facilities are also available. I got Community Scholarship of 10k per year. Many friends of mine who were SC/ST got 25k as Community Scholarship and many other Scholarships are there for Top Ranking Students.

Campus Life :

There are many extracurricular associations and activities conducted by Students itself. Amy Student can take any Lab Facility. Computer systems and available anywhere in the college for anyone. Regarding Sports, Students here are highly trained and participate in National Level events. This College provide you lot of time and support to explore in your sports Talents.

Hostel Facilities :

The Hostel facilities are good and not more than what you could expect from a Government College. Though, the food here will be too good and if you choose NRI Option Willis for Other State Peoples, the food will be awesome. The fee ranges from 25k to 28k per semester for Regular Hostel and 50k to 55k per semester for NRI Hostel.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

This College is well Known for its Senior-Junior Relationships. Every Student is enrolled to Alumni Association in each department separetle and in the College as a whole. You can get lost of Networks and Connections through our Alumni.

Admission :

I got this College based on my 12th Standard Cut Off Marks(Maths,Physics and Chemistry marks). We will be called for Counseling process and we can choose the College based on our marks and I Chose MIT.

Faculty :

The Faculty of my College is highly intelligent and interactive. Since it's a Government College and one of the Top Colleges in TamilNadu, the Staff and Professors here were highly talented and mist had completed PhD.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
