Remarks :
In the field of academics this university stands in 3rd position in India. But they should arrange internship programs for all of their students. It will be better if proper placements are given.
Course Curriculum Overview :
From ultra modern science to history , every traditional courses are provided here. Beside these well know courses , some carrier oriented courses like biotechnology are also offered. Exams are taken on the basis of the rules and regulations framed by The University Grants Comission (UGC).
Placement Experience :
Placements are not given by our university. But our institution empowers us in such a way that we are able to find our own job easily. And here comes the question of internship, yes some departments send ther students for internships but not all departments do so.
College Events :
There are many festivals celebrated here. Saraswati puja and holi is celebrated with great essences. Beside these, every Department arranges freshers welcome party aswell as fairwell for the passouts and a annual reunion programme.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As our instution is fully funded by the Govenment, the students are charges as less as possible ( Rs.2000-4000 per semester ). No hidden charges are there. Library charge is also very less (300 for 2 years)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Loan facility is not offered by our university because the ammount of fee is very minimalistic. Scholarships are also given to the needy students. The also provide scholarships to to rank holders of every department.
Campus Life :
Several eminent scientists and research scholars are regularly invited here to give their valuable lectures , whis is very helpfull for the students. This type of initiatives motivate students for ther further research. Many workshops are also arranged in regular intervals.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is strong enough. Every department has their own alumni association. They arrange a annual reunion party every year. Senior students are very helpful. Even some of them are doing research work here.
Admission :
Admission is done on the basis of the obtained marks in graduation courses and also by entrance test. 40% seats are allorted for entrance examination entry and the rest 60% is for direct entry on the basis of the marks obtained in the BSc examination. It is to be noted that the 60% caregory is applicable only for the students who have done their bachelors from the Home university i.e., from any of the colleges affiliated to University of Calcutta.
Faculty :
The term faculty should not be used in this case. Our teachers are great scientists. Recruitment of professors is done through interview and on the basis of their knowledge, resesrch aptitude and teaching experience.
