Remarks :

CGC Landran is one of those colleges that was at the top of the list when i was preparing to fill forms for colleges last year. State of the art infrastructure and supportive faculty are the plus points of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are 4 semesters in betch cse. Every semester is of 6 months. 3 Midterms are there and best of 2 are considered. And 1 final term is there of 60 marks. Midterm + Finalterm =60 is done. Ptu is university which check oir finalterm and mid term in college itself.

Placement Experience :

CGC landran has the best placement record. But the placements offers are mostly from IT companies and package is around 3.25 lacs to 3.5 lacs. Some core companies also visit the campus but intake is low which means the mechanical guys have less opportunity to be placed in their core industry.

College Events :

CGC is organizing its two days National level Techno Cultural Festival named ‘PARIVARTAN’ symbolizing change, all around development and innovations for the betterment of the society. The two days event packed with variety of Technical, Non-Technical and Cultural competitions is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd and 3rd February 2018 at our Landran campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Semester wise dividedThe course fee at Chandigarh Group of Colleges [CGC], Landran for Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering) is INR 90,000 per annum. Minority scholarships are available here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No fee is charged from SC/ST students of Pujab and Chandigarh whose family income from all sources is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum. SC/ST students of other state are reimbursed their fee through their respective state Govt.All these students have to apply for Post Matric Scholarship Scheme of the Govt. through Registrar Office of the College.

Campus Life :

The Literary Club was established with the objective of building confidence, grooming, and talent up scaling to develop analytical & creative thinking of students. It offers them opportunities to go through a huge variety of reading material to increase their knowledge about writers/literary personalities and classics. Literary club is also committed to enhance the effective communication skills among the students which results in developing their interest in reading, writing and taking part in debates and other literary activities.

Alumni/Alumna :

CGC is blessed with a visionary leadership of the Management, qualified and dedicated staff, and highly talented students drawn from different social, cultural and academic backgrounds. It has set a commendable tradition of initiative and imagination, and has grown into an institution of significant stature in the educational scene. The diverse academic activities of the college all imbued with a sound value system are focused on a balancing of knowledge assimilation and skill acquisition. CGC has succeeded in instilling a definite confidence in the society at large about the quality of education it offers.

Admission :

I went to college interview was conducted and my marks and cgp was considered to get admission in the college. You can call and get registration there and date to get admission. You can also get admission through school circulatioms.

Faculty :

Great faculty. Very helpful and hardworking faculty. Very nice faculty. Every topic is taught with absoult clearenss and extra time is given to student to teach to give better understanding. Thats its.

The best out of best about iit ropar

Placement Experience:

From the third semester students become eligible for the placement like internships and main placements start at fourth year. companies like Wipro, HCl , Zomato, swiggy, Google, etc many companies visit our college and many offer have been made to the students. In the last year the highest package was 86 lakhs offered and average package over all branches was 22 lakhs per annum.and the last year almost 76 Percent of the applied students have got placed and my plans after getting the degree is to do a good job in a very big mnc

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, students become eligible for the campus internships offered by companies, that provide placements after completion of the course. In the 7th semester students who have the skills, got placed in companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, TCS Ninja, etc The highest package offered in our university is 13.50 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. About 80% of the students got placed last year in our university. My senior told me how he got placed in TCS private limited company and assured me that I will get placed too.

Almost everything you need to know before joining about Gulzar Group of Institutes

Placement Experience:

Here the placements are fine but it also depends on students too as you can start internship from 2nd year but there is attendance issue for that you need to contact to your respective HOD's. The placements start from I think the 6th sem I am not sure but maybe or 7th but many good companies come to campus but students can also apply off campus companies too. Some company's names are listed as I know:- Amazon,Paytm,Godrej, Tech Mahindra, HCl, Wipro, etc. I am not sure about the highest and lowest package but I think the Highest package is 4 to 5 lakh . The overall percentage of students getting placed is 80% to 85% according to me. My plan is too first get the internship till 4th to 5th sem and then will sit in placements or apply for off campus if didn't got satisfied with the companies that came after I will get the job and for few years will do the job until I get I want and then I will plan about something as I want to get.

Placement Experience:

See like in final year here everyone goes into placements. And it's not up to mark because here if your in CSE IT or ECE you get placed at3-3.5 lakh per annum .but opportunities have raised in recent years production engineering student got a placement of 15 lakhs per annum and this year Flipkart arrived and gave a placement of 13lakhs last year Samsung have a placement of 12 lakhs byjus gave 10 lakhs placement. if you are in core and want to get hired for tech companies then you need to take notes courses and learn to code. And almost 70-80% students get placed but if the placement is low then it's of no use if you're re in civil or mechanical engineering then you may find the gate results are fair enough for a college. Civil and mechanical are the best branches in the college andy plan is to join Indian army after Engineering.
