Remarks
National Institute of Film and Fine Arts (NIFFA) is the only institute in Eastern India, which is affiliated by the Federation of Film Societies of India and National Film Archive, Govt. of India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The recording and editing studios were fully digital and hi tech devices, which I knew nothing about. I learned a lot during my course. Dynamic use of lenses and the appropriate use of light for a better product.
Placement Experience
NIFFA delivers a splendid placement record and the majority of the students are well and successfully employed in leading studios and media houses across the country.
College Events
The institute engages its students in practical and engaging activities like short films, advertisement, fests and film festivals. Originally, NIFFA is a film club, which in turn lets the members view several Film Festival and film shows as a member of the society, free of cost.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I did a full time diploma course form NIFFA and my total course fee was around 3.8 lacs. The facilities provided are very good. The studio is filled with all the latest gear necessary for an overall learning experience.
Campus Life
Students of NIFFA enjoy state-of-the-art facilities like shooting floors, lighting setups, real world cameras and modern editing labs, along with the best and most qualified faculty in the business. To get a glimpse of the NIFFA.
Alumni/Alumna
There are a lot of ex-students employed successfully in various domains of the media industry. The college is very efficient in maintaining a proper connection with these alumni and would frequently invite them to motivate the students and creating a bridge between the learning and future scope of that learning.
Admission
The admission process is pretty smooth. I gave an aptitude test which was a mere formality, followed by an interview session. The interview was pretty intense, but it was quite a learning experience.
