Remarks :

The college Is certainly one of the top engineering college in the district of kollam.good facility, especially the lab facilities, annual events are conducted to bring more out of the students.good faculties as well.situated close to the town, so transportation is easy.one negative remarks Is the lack of a spacious campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course consists of 8 semester divided into four years. Each semester there will be 2 series tests whose average along with the marks for assignment will be selected as the internal marks.the minimum marks required to pass a subject is 75 out of 150 in which 100 marks is based on the written exams and the rest is from the internal marks

Placement Experience :

The college doesnt provide any internships as of my knowledge but have good placement records and even have a placement team. Last year students will be having a placement oriented class as well for this purpose.

College Events :

Samyoga- it is the annual art festival which is conducted by all the students as a team Tech festival- conducted by individual departments Sports fest- conducted annually for sports meet and other events

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is of 2 layers Merit students- 75000 Management students -80k to 1.2 lk and one more Merit students of minority community - 50000 As a merit student of minority community the fee structure was feasible

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Merit cum means scholarship which I availed is for minority community students worth 25k per year.there are other scholarships as well which are mainly based the casts and for the minority studesnts in the college

Campus Life :

Sports fest is conducted annually in the college ground Good lab facility is available and is one of the best in the district Environment friendly surroundings Annual arts festival is also conducted

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni networks is not the best in my opinion but some senior students have played a major roles in providing placements and dream jobs for their junior students.they do often conduct some small fests and meetings as well

Admission :

I got the admission via the annual entrance exam or the team conducted by the Kerala University based on the 12th standard topics. Candidates can arrange the college names on their list of interests no 1 being the most interested.

Faculty :

The faculties are friendly and helpful.they are positive minded with some exceptions as well.they can help u when having any problems.faculties are strictly against ragging. Still there are some retarder teachers as well

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
