Which college is better for CSE/IT, JUET Guna or JUIT Waknaghat?

Both JET and JUIT are part of Jaypee Group and offer decent CSE/IT programs in terms of academics and placements.

JUET:

Admission-

• The annual intake for B.Tech at JUET is 300. Among this, 150 seats are reserved for JEE qualified students and another 150 are merit-based. The annual intake for M.Tech in CSE is 10.

• The total tuition fee for the academic year 2020 for B.Tech is Rs.82500 per semester and M.Tech is Rs.42000 per semester.

• Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech programs is through JEE Mains and GATE.

Facilities-

• The department has various lab facilities and computing equipment to support learning and teaching and research activities.

• This includes BM and Compaq Servers, Multimedia Lab, Programming Lab, and Networking Lab.

Placements-

• Nearly 163.23% of B.Tech students got placed during the 2016-20 academic year.

JUIT:

Admission-

• Admissions to B.Tech programs are offered based on JEE scores and 10+2 results. M.Tech admission is through GATE.

• The total fee for B.Tech is Rs.8.6 lakhs and for M.Tech is Rs.2.0 lakhs.

Facilities-

• At the undergraduate level, the department emphasizes theoretical and practical aspects of object-oriented programming, software engineering, Computer organization & architecture, and so on.

• The department also provides exposure to emerging technologies as well as futuristic technologies like nanotechnology, quantum computing, bioinformatics, etc.

Placements-

• The percentage of total offers to the CSE and IT batch of 2016-20 is 167% and 173% respectively.

• The highest-paid salary is 28 Lacs by Amazon.

Both the institutes are equal in many terms. However, JUIT Waknaghat is a little better in terms of academics and placement opportunities.
