For CSE/IT, JUIT Waknaghat is a better option. It offers better academics and placements. From CSE, each year almost 100% of the students get placed. JUIT placement highlight shows the average package to be INR 4-5 LPA. Reputed companies such as Amazon, Adobe, etc. visit the campus drive for placements.

Admission-
The annual intake for B.Tech at JUET is 300. Among this, 150 seats are reserved for JEE qualified students and another 150 are merit-based. The annual intake for M.Tech in CSE is 10.
The total tuition fee for the academic year 2020 for B.Tech is Rs.82500 per semester and M.Tech is Rs.42000 per semester.

At the undergraduate level, the department emphasizes theoretical and practical aspects of object-oriented programming, software engineering, Computer organization & architecture, and so on.
The department also provides exposure to emerging technologies as well as futuristic technologies like nanotechnology, quantum computing, bioinformatics, etc.

The percentage of total offers to the CSE and IT batch of 2016-20 is 167% and 173% respectively.

Both the institutes are equal in many terms. However, JUIT Waknaghat is a little better in terms of academics and placement opportunities.
