Is IIT Bhubaneswar's Civil Engineering better than IIT Guwhati's Design?

Comparing Civil with Design is illogical as Civil is more of a core branch while Design is not. The choice of the branch depends on your personal institute and the institute does not have much to do with it. • The quality of education is excellent at IIT Bhubaneswar Civil Department but IIT Guwahati being older certainly has more experienced professors.
• The campus life at IIT Guwahati is more happening and vibrant than at IIT Bhubaneswar. However new IITs may have an average campus life but the students get better opportunities because the strength is low and everyone has to give their input in enhancing the campus life. Clubs and fests are handled by the students mainly giving them excellent exposure. 
•  IIT Guwahati design usually offers non-core placements while IIT Bhubaneswar has plentiful core placements.

Both the branches are equally intriguing and only let your interest make the decision. For this, you can go through the curriculum and find out which branch excites you more. IIT Bhubaneswar Civil is a good choice for those who are interested in technology but if you are not go for IIT Guwahati Design.
