How is the placement scenario like in MSU Baroda for an MCA student?
One of my uncles was a Placement Coordinator at MSU in 2017. He told me the placement scenario for MCA at MSU is pretty good. In fact, some students even receive more than one offer. This is because companies who came for the placement drive for the Computer Science department preferred the MCA students to sit for the placement as well.

Which is better: chemical engineering at LDCE or MSU Baroda?
Let’s do a basic comparison between the two universities first.
Accreditation: MSU is an autonomous university whereas LDCE comes under ACPC
Infrastructure: MSU has an upper hand in this aspect as its infrastructure is way better than LDCE.
Marking pattern: MSU follows a very tough marking scheme and therefore makes it difficult for students to get good CGPAs.

At LDCE offers were made from industries like Oil, Gas, Power, Fertilizer, IT sector, Automobile, Chemical, Petrochemical, etc.
Personally, I feel overall MSU is a better option. It has some additional features that set it apart from LDCE. These include
- Much better hostel facilities than LDCE
- 3 major technological and social events are held every year that boost your extracurricular activities.
- The faculty at MSU is top notch with great learned and experienced professors.
So Chemical Engineering at MSU Baroda is a better option.
What is the admission process for MBA in MSU Baroda?
The procedure to get admitted into MSU for MBA is as follows
- The CMAT exam is a prerequisite to get a call from MSU.
- The cut off trend in MSU is CMAT percentile of 80-90( score of 150 and above).
- Prepare well to fulfill the above criteria and wait for the call.
- Once you have passed this round you have to move to the next round which is GD or Group Discussion.
- The last and the final round comprises the Persona Interview which is the most crucial round and your deciding factor for admission.
Once you have succeeded in all these rounds, you have successfully got an admission into MSU.
How is MSU Baroda for doing a BSc in Physics?
The BSc course in Physics at MSU Baroda is at par with the top institutes like IISERs and IITs.
The infrastructure is the best in the whole of Gujarat state. The faculty for this course however is a bit lacking in comparison to other courses. Some are not skilled enough while some are not interested in teaching at all.
The laboratories are decked with decent equipments but during the First and Second years, they are almost of no use. The third year has a lot of lab sessions that should not be missed
The theoretical exams are pretty easy as most of the questions are based on what has been taught in the class.
MSU has 2 major libraries ( SSMT and SHMT) that have a wide range of books on almost every subject.
Research is mainly conducted in areas of condensed matter, Spectroscopy, X Ray diffraction and Nuclear Physics. Seminars and conferences are held throughout the year on campus.
My opinion is that MSU is not much of a good choice for a BSc in Physics, especially if you are coming from a state other than Gujarat.
Can I get admission in MSU Baroda Gujarat for a BSc Hons if I got 90 in 12th CBSE?
Yes, absolutely. You can get admission to MSU Baroda Gujarat for a BSc Hons if you got 90 in 12th CBSE. Given is the eligibility of students to get admitted to MSU Baroda. 40% or higher for Vadodara students.
For students out of Vadodara 50% or above. 60% or higher for students from outside Gujarat. Only passing marks are required for SC/ST students. A high score will help you get your preferred subjects.
How is the placement of civil engineering at MSU Baroda?
The answer is below average. The placements are not ideal, but this depends on several factors.
The primary thing is you should possess first class (60%) in aggregate (or 60% in each semester for 1-2 companies like tata motors.). As is well known, MSU's results are not as good as those of other universities, with only 50-60% of students receiving first-class honors (60% or higher). In other universities, you can easily get 80-85%.
Everyone says that MSU attracts a large number of MNC companies for recruitment. However, there are only 3-4 nice MNCs that offer nice packages and recruit only 3-5 students. They don't always hire any of the students. The maximum package is approximately 5-5.5 LPA. On average, you can get a package of 3-4 LPA. Then there are some other companies that offer you between 2.5 and 3.5 LPA. There are 2-3 non-core companies that recruit with average packages ranging from 2.5 to 4 LPA. Score high and strive to remain in the top 15-20. Your chances of being placed would improve.
Which is better for biotechnology, MSU Baroda or Amrita School of Biotechnology?
MSU BARODA offers biotechnology (via JNUCEEB entrance). They also provide medical biotechnology and biostatistics services. It is a government agency. Fees range between INR 18.18 K and 2.46 L. Because Amrita School of Biotechnology is a private institution, the fee structure differs. Fees range between INR 1.86 lakh and INR 2.86 lakh.
Both institutions have excellent faculty and facilities. Both institutions have a good reputation. The overall NIRF ranking of MSU is 151 whereas the Amrita School of Biotechnology is 16. Biotechnology placements are extremely rare. But after MSc from MSU, most of the students go for Ph.D. in USA / Germany / UK.
However, after earning an MSc from Amrita Vidyapitham, you must find work because you have already spent a significant amount of money. They do, however, provide good placements.
How is MSU Baroda for an MSc in Microbiology?
Microbiology is a science that is used in many fields; therefore, it is essential to be a lifelong learner with an open mind in order to accept all points of view, analyze them, and then reach an intelligent conclusion, which must also be understood as dynamic. This perspective on life as a dynamic situation in which one grows and dies every second is an important life lesson. MSU's heart is its faculty. They are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Some faculty members are fantastic, while others are not. Presentations and interactive sessions are also available. They have significant industrial exposure but are highly valued in the research field.
The course curriculum is designed in such a way that all B.Sc students in life sciences (zoology, botany, and chemistry) can pursue the Master's course. It covers the majority of the topics required for a master's degree, beginning with general microbiology and progressing to immunology and bioinformatics.
How are the salary packages for computer science and engineering at MSU Baroda?
Most companies, including TCS, Infosys, Tech-M, Cogni, and L&T Info-tech, pay a visit to MSU at the beginning of the final semester. These Indian firms provide a median salary ranging from 2.9 LPA to 3.7 LPA, including variable components. Once you've been chosen by one of the companies, you won't be able to apply for any others.

In Gujarat, engineering college admissions are handled through the ACPC process, which involves announcing rounds one by one and allocating engineering colleges based on student percentages. If your score meets the criteria set by colleges, including reservations for SC/ST/OBC students, you will be admitted.
Even at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, admission is obtained through this process; however, the college reserves 70% of the seats for Baroda students.
