• Faculty:  The faculty at NIT Surathkal is above average. There are professors who are very supportive and their teaching methods are excellent, but there are also professors whose teaching methods and approach are not liked by students. Faculty feedback is not taken with much seriousness. 
• Lab facilities & Infrastructure: The Labs are good with all the proper facilities. The infrastructure is average. The buildings are very old and there are no ACs. The elevators do not work most of the time.
• Research Facilities: In terms of research facilities, NIT Surathkal is excellent. It has impressive laboratories. Most of the professors support and guide students in all the different aspects related to research.
