If you are evaluating the institutes based on placements, then you will be pleased to know that IIT Delhi ranks 28th position in the Top 50 of Times Higher Education Global Employability University Ranking and Survey.
However, I feel placements should not be the determining factor as the IIT tag will get you placed with a good package irrespective of whichever IIT you choose. The primary determining factor should be your inclination towards a specific branch. If you target a specific branch just based on placements, you are likely to lose interest soon. This will result in a frustrated career. In fact, I have seen many students opt out of CS just because they realize that it’s not their cup of tea and go for average branches that intrigue them genuinely.
Here is a comparative analysis of placements of both the institutes

The answer to your question is objectively based solely on your inclinations. IITs might offer a better ROI than IIMs. But had I been in your place I would have gone for the newer IIMs like Kozhikode or IIM Ranchi which is one of the fastest-growing IIMs. The reasons for taking this decision would have been
All these points make IIM a more tempting choice. Yet if you are tight on budget and just want to go for the Operations domain IIT will do fine for you.
My friend recently joined DMS, IIT Delhi to pursue MBA despite getting calls from almost all the new IIMs. She based her decision on the following factors
ROI: I think this is an underestimated factor people don’t stress enough. When you are comparing colleges on the same wavelength, it’s the ROI that can make the difference prominent. Apparently DMS, IIT Delhi enjoys an ROI of 180%.
Placements: DMS has great placement opportunities. The stats below prove it

most of the CAT coaching institute rankings. It has a rich research culture giving it the 3 positions in the QS world rankings.
Batch size: DMS has an average batch size thereby increasing the scope of interaction. It also enjoys location advantages, not making it difficult for big industries to visit the campus for recruitment.
While the newer IIMs like Ranchi, Trichy, and Udaipur have a good reputation, IIT Delhi still offers certain advantages that make it stand out as a better option. Here are some reasons why you should consider IIT Delhi for your MBA:
While the newer IIMs are also good options for an MBA, IIT Delhi stands out as a better choice due to its strong reputation, impressive placement record, diverse student body, and highly qualified faculty. So, if you're looking for an MBA program that offers the best of everything, IIT Delhi should definitely be at the top of your list.

Faculty
IIT Delhi:
Most of the faculty at IIT Delhi and other IITs as well are highly experienced with all of them being Ph.D. holders and well-versed professionals in their respective fields.
They are approachable, helpful, and research-oriented who help bring out the best in students.
Sharda University:
The faculty at Sharda University holds a mix of Masters and Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields with mainly the law faculty holding LLM degrees and a few PhDs.
While the university does boast a practical approach, the faculty does not quite implement this ideal when it comes to teaching in class despite the teachers being approachable.
Placements
IIT Delhi:
More than 85.6% of students are placed with 430+ different companies from industries like IT, Analytics, IT, Management and others.
Students bagged about 1100+ different jobs from the institute. Some of the top recruiters at the institute include Uber, IBM, Denso Japan, Flipkart, etc.
The highest package offered is INR 1.4 crore per annum and an average offer of INR 16 lakhs per annum.
Sharda University:
About 80% and more of the university’s students have been placed so far in more than 150 different MNCs.
For MBA and B. Tech, the university has a placement record of 100% and 91% respectively.
The highest package offered is INR 65 lakhs per annum with companies like HDFC Bank, American Express, Wipro, Audi, Amazon, etc. visiting the institute.
Thus, when compared, IITs top Sharda University in all aspects. If students wish to secure a successful career, IIT is a safer option compared to Sharda University.
Both IIT Delhi and IIT Ropar are highly reputable institutes in India, and both have strong programs in production industrial engineering and computer science engineering, respectively. Considering everything, IIT Delhi is a better option than IIT Ropar. The opportunities, brand name, and academic environment you will have access to will be unmatched. However, if you have a specific inclination towards the CS branch and want to pursue a career in the same, you can also consider joining IIT Ropar as the CS branch has diverse job opportunities even for the average students.
Ranking-wise the preference order of the above-mentioned courses is
IIT Delhi > IIT Kanpur > IIT Roorkee > IIT BHU
Based on their closing rank, the branches can be arranged in the following order
Chemical>Metallurgy>Textile
This was based on general data, but if you have an inclination towards a specific branch, then go for it without much hesitation. Your passion will keep you motivated despite various challenges thrown at you. But in case you have no specific preference, then you can consider the college and branch ranking to make an informed decision.
Apart from CS and Electrical, students from most branches opt for non-core jobs which require much more than their core academics for placements. In that case, you can prefer IIT BHU over IIT Roorkee.
Ultimately, the final decision is yours to make. Choose wisely considering various factors like location, friends, etc,
