UPTAC 2026 Revised Counselling Schedule Out at uptac.samarth.edu.in; Check Round 1 Choice Filling Dates

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the revised Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 schedule. The updated calendar is available on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in. It covers BTech, Integrated MTech, BDes and several other professional programmes.

The revision moves Round 1 seat allotment forward to July 9, 2026. Choice filling reopens shortly before that milestone. Fee payment and physical reporting follow in the same month.

All candidates who registered during the May and June window can now log in. The revised calendar applies to both first-year and lateral entry admissions.

Seat Acceptance Fee for UPTAC 2026

Candidates must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee to confirm the allotted seat. The amount depends on the reservation category of the candidate.

UPTAC 2026 Counselling Round Structure

The UPTAC 2026 counselling will run in four main rounds this year. AKTU will also hold one internal sliding round for seat upgrade. Two special rounds are planned once the main rounds close.

The internal sliding round adjusts allotments for candidates who chose the Float option. Special rounds are used to fill any vacant seats that remain.

Programmes Covered Under the Revised UPTAC 2026 Schedule

The revised timeline applies to a wide list of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Every programme run under the AKTU-affiliated counselling now follows the same key dates.

• Undergraduate: BTech, BArch, BDes, BPharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, BVoc, BBA, BMS and BCA.
• Postgraduate: MBA, MBA Integrated, MCA, MCA Integrated and MTech Integrated.
• Lateral entry: Second-year admission to BTech, BPharm and MCA.

How to Fill Choices for UPTAC 2026 Round 1?

Registered candidates can complete choice filling on the official portal. The process must be finished before the Round 1 lock date.

1. Visit the official UPTAC portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.
2. Log in using the registration ID and password.
3. Select preferred college and branch combinations from the drop-down list.
4. Arrange each choice in the order of preference.
5. Save the choices and lock them before the deadline.

How to Choose Between Freeze, Float and Withdrawal?

Three options are available to every candidate after Round 1 allotment. Freeze means accepting the seat and exiting further counselling. Float means accepting the seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade in later rounds.

Withdrawal means rejecting the seat and stepping out of the process. Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee before confirming Freeze or Float.

2. Prepare a ranked list of preferred college and branch combinations.
