UP Government to Connect Youths with Startup Ideas with IIM Lucknow and AKTU for Training

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken an initiative to connect youths with startup ideas with prestigious institutes like IIM Lucknow and AKTU. The institutes will help these entrepreneurs in polishing their ideas through training. 

As of now, a total of 150 candidates have been selected for this initiative by the Youth Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. These rural youths will present their ideas in front of IIM Lucknow and ATKU experts, which will further provide them with training and tips.

In addition to this, IIM Lucknow has shown interest in setting up its incubation center where these selected participants will show their ideas to the expert panel. As of now, around 10,000 square feet area has been decided for the incubation center.

Speaking on this occasion, Navneet Sehgal, ACS Sports and Youth Welfare shared that the department is now waiting for a proposal from IIM Lucknow in this regard. He added that these selected candidates can come and share their ideas or projects with the department officials.

To provide support to selected candidates, the department has signed Angel Investors organisations to give their backup support to potential startups. The youths are also receiving support and encouragement from the Yuva and Mahila Mangaldal activists.

Furthermore, the Youth Welfare Department is preparing to launch its official mobile application named "Yuva Sathi" with the aim to give guidance to youths in various fields such as higher education, skill development, self-employment promotion, career counselling, etc. 

The app will also include a section for job employment, competitive examinations, sports, vocational training sessions, and online classes on various skill development topics as well as schemes and services offered by the government.
