Punjabi University All Set to Start Counselling for B.Tech Admissions In Online Mode

In the wake of the pandemic situation and uncertainty of JEE Main 2020, the Punjabi University of Patiala has come to a decision of conducting counselling and admission processes of different engineering courses in the online mode.

Punjabi University, Patiala is all set to begin the admission process of engineering departments, which includes the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with 200 seats, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering with 180 seats, Department of Civil Engineering comprising 180 seats and Department of Mechanical Engineering having 180 seats.

Important Dates

The allotment from the waiting list and preference-based branch allocation will be announced in online mode after the first round of counselling is completed.

As stated by the officials, courses including ECE, CSE, ME, Civil and ECM are mostly AICTE approved courses from well-established and experienced staff departments.

Coordinator of B.Tech Admissions, Professor Manjit Singh Bhamrah said, "The excellent track record of placement of the departments is a great inspiration and attraction to the candidates and parents. The University has NAAC A grade, coveted 64th NIRF Rank, and 1st EW Punjab State Rank. The response is encouraging in the form of application piling up on a day to day basis."
