Periyar University has announced Ph.D. admissions, with hall tickets available from January 21, 2025. The Common Entrance Test (CET) will account for 70% of the admission criteria, while the remaining 30% will be based on an interview conducted post-admission.

To be eligible for admission to Periyar University, candidates must have completed their education in the 10+2+4 format. A minimum of 55% academic marks is required, with a relaxation of 50% for SC and ST candidates.
Candidates qualified UGC-NET-JRF, UGC-CSIR-NET-JRF or sanctioned with national fellowships like DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, UGC-Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RJNF), DBT-JRF, ICAR-JRF and ICMR-JRF).
