New Delhi: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023 has been delivered by Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh today, June 5, 2023, via a virtual conference.
The NIRF was approved by the MoE and introduced on September 29, 2015, by the Honourable Minister for Education.
This framework describes a system for ranking educational institutions around the nation. On June 5, 2023, at 11:00 am, the India Rankings 2023 will be released.
The rankings of higher education institutions will include top colleges and universities as well as section-by-section lists of the top schools for engineering, medicine, law, and management, as well as schools for architecture and other fields.
Only four categories: Overall, Colleges, Universities and Research Institutions. Seven even topic domains: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architectural, and Dental were in use in the year 2022. Agriculture and Allied Sectors is the only new discipline the NIRF has included this year. A new moniker for the field of architecture is "Architecture and Planning."
IIT Madras continued to be ranked first in both the engineering and overall educational institutes categories last year. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2022 for research and universities, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru came in first place.
