NIMCET 2026 provisional answer key is now live at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can raise objections till June 11 at 5 PM. A non-refundable fee of Rs 500 per question applies for each challenge.

The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2026 provisional answer key is out. It is available on the official portal at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
The conducting body released the key on June 10, 2026. NIMCET is the national entrance test for MCA admission at participating NITs.
Candidates can now raise objections against any disputed answer online. The window opened on June 10 at 10:00 AM. It will close on June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
Candidates dissatisfied with any answer must pay a processing charge. The fee is Rs 500 per question and is non-refundable. Payment is accepted via net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
The response sheet and recorded OMR images are also live on the portal. Candidates can match their marked answers with the official key. This helps identify questions worth challenging within the brief window.

What Happens After the Objection Window Closes?
The conducting committee will review every valid challenge after June 11. Subject experts verify each disputed question against the official answer scheme.
Only objections supported by valid proof are considered. The final answer key is then prepared on the basis of expert review.
The final key is hosted on the same official portal. The NIMCET 2026 result is computed using this final key, not the provisional one.

How to Raise an Objection Against the Answer Key?
Candidates must submit challenges only through the candidate dashboard. Hard copy or email objections will not be accepted.
- Log in to the candidate portal at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
- Open the answer key challenge section on the dashboard.
- Select the question number that you wish to dispute.
- Upload supporting proof such as textbook references or research links.
- Pay Rs 500 for each challenged question through the online gateway.
- Submit the form before 5:00 PM on June 11, 2026.
The fee is refunded only if the challenge is found valid by experts. Objections without proof are usually rejected at the review stage.
NIMCET feeds limited MCA seats across participating NITs. The candidate pool is small but competition is sharp. Even one accepted challenge can shift ranks by hundreds of positions. That makes the 31-hour objection window a serious decision point.
