NIFTEE 2026 Final Result Out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 final result on June 3, 2026. The scorecard is hosted on the official portal at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. Candidates can access it using their application number and password.

The result covers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It includes a Common Merit Rank (CMR) for every qualified candidate. This rank will guide the upcoming counselling and seat allocation.

NTA had conducted Stage 2 of the entrance exam in April 2026. Stage 2 assessed candidates through interviews and the Situation Test. The final list combines marks from all selection stages.

NIFTEE 2026 Selection Stages Explained

NIFT runs admissions through a multi-stage entrance test. Stage 1 covers two written papers: CAT and GAT. Stage 2 then conducts the Situation Test and personal interviews.

The Creative Ability Test (CAT) checks design thinking and visual skills. The General Ability Test (GAT) measures communication, English and analytical ability. Both Stage 1 papers happened earlier this admission cycle.

The Situation Test applies only to B.Des aspirants in Stage 2. Postgraduate candidates take a Group Discussion and Personal Interview instead. Each stage carries its own weightage in the final merit.

Thousands of design and management aspirants appeared for NIFTEE 2026. The exam is the only entry to NIFT UG and PG seats.

What Comes Next After the NIFTEE 2026 Result?

NIFT will start centralized counselling soon after the result release. The seat allocation process covers all 20 NIFT campuses across India. NIFT plans to open counselling in the last week of June 2026.

Candidates must register on the NIFT counselling portal. A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 9,300 applies. The fee can be paid through standard online modes.

The counselling process is expected to run for three regular rounds. A separate spot round may follow if seats remain. Each round involves choice filling and seat allotment.

Candidates should keep key documents ready before counselling opens. Required papers typically include the scorecard, application form, photo identity proof, and category certificates. NIFT will verify all documents during the seat allotment process.

Candidates from reserved categories should review the relevant rules carefully. NIFT follows national reservation norms across SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD. Verification of category proofs happens during counselling.

NIFT publishes opening and closing ranks after each counselling round. Candidates can use past trends to gauge their chances. The official brochure carries the previous year cutoff data.

Why This Result Matters

NIFT runs design and management programmes across 20 campuses in India. The final result is the single gateway to the centralized counselling. The Common Merit Rank decides each candidate's campus and course.
