New Delhi: Mangalore University has announced a substantial reduction in the tatkal fee for academic documents. The deduction of the fee will be beneficial for students who pursuing their dreams. This will benefit sixth-semester students, who received their results, this Monday, and who wish to go for higher education or take up jobs. 

Raju Chalannavar, registrar (evaluation), Mangalore University has mentioned that the regular fee of for revaluation, re-totaling, and personal seeing is INR 700. He added “Initially, we planned to increase it fourfold (Rs 2,800) as there is a lot of work to be done by staff, starting with searching and sorting each answer paper. "However, now considering the response and realizing that many would not be able to afford the four-fold surge, we have decided to stick to the normal fee."

Earlier this whole process of revaluation, re-totalling, and personal seeing used to take three months, now it will be completed in 15–20 days, as per the new Tatkal facilities. 

Chalannavar said, “The notification on tatkal revaluation will be out on Monday.” The student and teaching fraternity hailed MU's decision to reduce the fee for tatkal. A senior commerce professor mentioned "It will be convenient for many. The pandemic has delayed the semesters, and some colleges have already started PG courses. The tatkal system will help those wishing to continue their studies.”
