New Delhi: To provide the best e-learning services possible, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar will collaborate with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and the IIMA-incubated edtech firm, GUVI.
In addition to mentorship, GUVI will work together with IIT Ropar on research to improve the placement-focused curriculum ZEN Class. In high demand fields like full-stack development, data science with advanced programming, data engineering, business analytics with digital marketing, automation testing, and UI/UX, among others, the ZEN class career programmes provide online boot camps that are placement-oriented.
In order to create effective learning curves for the students, IIT Ropar will perform experiments on teaching, learning, and contemporary pedagogies.
With the use of self-paced tech classes, career programmes, and other edtech services, the IITM and IIMA-incubated edtech business GUVI hopes to prepare prospects for IT and software positions. GUVI offers specialised information technology courses online to upskill students and make them "job ready." This is done through an online platform that allows students to learn in their mother tongues.
Through self-paced online courses and more than 2,000 job placements that were successful, the platform has upskilled more than 18 lakh students throughout the world to far. Along with English, it provides technology skills that are in demand in the sector in regional tongues including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Bengali.
The head of the computer science department at IIT Ropar, Sudarshan Iyengar, who was instrumental in bringing GUVI on board, highlighted the special features of this collaboration by saying: "Our laboratory has been specialising in online education-based technologies and we were on the lookout for the implementation of EdTech ideas on portals such as GUVI which has amassed more than 18 Lakh students. The objective is to enhance teaching and learning strategies while qualitatively improving our partnership with GUVI.
Arunprakash M, founder and CEO of GUVI, stated at the signing of this agreement: "This relationship with IIT Ropar is a milestone in GUVI's learning impact journey. We are prepared to align our teams and pedagogical methods in order to secure the transfer of learning parameters through our Zen class, which will lead to quicker achievement for our students.
