IGNITE: Summer Internship at Samsung India's Gurugram Headquarter

New Delhi: A total of 44 recently graduated students from top 16 B-schools in India have begun their summer internship at Samsung India’s Gurugram Headquarters.

With the bright smiles on their faces, the interns walked into the Samsung India’s Gurugram Office.They also expressed their happiness on joining and being able to experience the Samsung headquarter in Gurugram and bond with their coworkers.

The two-month long summer internship programme, called Samsung IGNITE (Inspiring Growth & Nurturing Interns Towards Excellence), began with a fun-filled two-day orientation that included interactions with Samsung India's senior leadership.

Some of the top experts from across Samsung India will help these 44 interns from the Top B-Schools;

FMS-Delhi, IIFT, IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C, IIM-I, IIM-K, IIM-L, IIM-T, Mudra Institute of Communications- Ahmedabad, JBIMS-Mumbai, TISS and XLRI, MDI-Gurgaon, MICA-A, NMIMS-Mumbai, SIBM-Pune to work and collaborate on real-time projects within various verticals of the company.

According to Sameer Wadhawan, Head of Human Resources at Samsung India, “The goal of IGNITE is to develop the untapped potential of this eager group of interns to yield unique outcomes. Wadhawan expressed their excitement to host this internship programme at the Samsung India headquarters in Gurugram once again for the brightest B-School students”.

“These young people will have the chance during the next two months to contribute toward some of the most exciting business ventures, develop important networking connections, and sharpen their skills with some of the best people in the industry", he continued.

Rama Ravi, a Hyderabad-born MICA-Ahmedabad student who is one of the interns, said that she has always wished for a chance like this where people can be authentic and have their ideals upheld.

Expressing her delight about the internship, she said that being a part of the company's dedication to innovation and excellence, there'll be so much to learn, she added.

Rama and the other 43 interns gained a thorough understanding of Samsung and its transformation from a Noodle exporter in 1938 to a technology behemoth today throughout the introduction.

Even as they looked into career prospects within the company, they were eager to interact with Samsung officials and meet interns from the previous year.

Samyak, another student at IIM, Bangalore from Jaipur, said that although he was a bit anxious, the internship is proving to be far more thrilling than he had anticipated. It's remarkable how 44 graduates have been made to communicate with one another.

Adoring Samsung's implementation of cross-team cooperation, Samyak said that this is such a creative way to learn, work, and solve problems all at once using a solutions-driven approach.

Meanwhile, the interns are anticipating a fascinating and productive two months at Samsung.
