The Goa board has discontinued the GCET exam for B.Tech and B.Pharm admissions. Goa BTech Admissions will be based on JEE scores whereas NEET or JEE Main (Physics+Chemistry) will be used for BPharm Admissions.
New Delhi: As per the latest updates, GCET 2024 has been cancelled for B.Tech and B.Pharm admissions for the academic session 2024-25. Instead, admission to these courses will solely rely on the JEE Main Scores. The Goa DTE has taken this measure to simplify and standardize the Goa BTech and BPharm Admissions.

Goa B.E/ B.Tech Admission 2024
- The Directorate of Technical Education's Centralized Admission Division has declared that admissions to Engineering B.E./BTech Degree courses in Goa for the academic year 2024-2025 will depend on the scores and ranks obtained in the JEE-Main 2024.
- Interested candidates applying for Engineering B.E. Degree courses are required to thoroughly examine the JEE-Main 2024 information bulletin accessible on the website @jeemain.nta.ac.in. This document includes crucial details about the exam structure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, online application process, and other important information.
Goa B.Pharm Admission 2024
- Admission to the Pharmacy B.Pharm courses in Goa for the academic year 2024-2025 will be based on the highest combined score achieved in the Physics and Chemistry sections from either the JEE-Main 2024 or NEET-2024. As a result, candidates interested in the B.Pharm course have the choice to participate in the JEE-Main 2024, NEET-2024, or both exams.
- The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a Public Notice regarding this decision, available for review on the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) website at dte.goa.gov.in.
