All these resulted in their relationship with supervisors at 9.775, client interactions at 9.756, selectivity ranked the highest at 9.904, informal training at 9.846, exit opportunities at 9.822, firm leadership at 9.800, and formal training at 9.756.
Boston Consulting Group
BCG group believes in ‘Cutting Edge. Out of the Box. Push the Envelope notion. They are famous for their innovative approach to finding the creativity behind every task. Forever debating, and working on every nook and corner, are what the BCG people do. All the daunting tasks are accompanied by handsome paychecks which BCG has topped this year. The numbers go like – Employee Selectivity (9.883), Business Outlook (9.829), Exit Opportunities (9.807), and Firm Leadership (9.729). But the areas where they slipped are – Hours Worked (7.951), Work-Life Balance (8.711), and Internal Mobility (8.717). A very positive category that excels is ‘transparency’. BCG is firm about its development method that enables its employees to earn appraisals.
McKinsey & Company
Considered the most “buttoned-up” component of the MBB group, McKinsey is the most common name when it comes to consulting companies. Functional in 130 cities over 65 countries, the company is marked with tradition, influence, prestige, and global. McKinsey employees are smart experts and the common names associated with it are Sheryl Sandberg, Sundar Pichai, and Pete Buttigieg. Spending 5 years in this corporate biggie will result in employment in any fine company as McKinseyites cherish that respect. The main hurdle faced by McKinsey is bad publicity that rolled out during the pandemic time and continued in 2021 as well. For compensation wise that numbers have downtrodden to 9.500 to 8.951. Another downfall was witnessed in the working hours from 8.631 to 8.043. But McKinsey maintained its pace in the exit opportunities and international opportunities cadre.
“McKinsey is a quick learning curve, which is both a blessing and a curse,” as enunciated by one survey respondent. “You…are always operating a level further than you think you are capable of. Overall, the focus on development at McKinsey is extremely high. Everything we do is related to growing in our roles in consulting and we build our careers around this notion.”
