CMAT 2021 exam date has been postponed to the last week of March or first week of April 2021. National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the exact dates, however, the CMAT 2021 application window has been reopened at the official website: cmat.nta.nic.in.
Earlier, CMAT 2021 was scheduled to be held on February 22 and February 27. As proposed by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the exam has been deferred to include an optional section in the paper for Innovation and Entrepreneurship aspirants. As a fact, NTA has issued an official notice, announcing the delay in the exams and revising the CMAT 2021 exam pattern.
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a computer-based online examination conducted by NTA and affiliated with AICTE. Graduate candidates who qualify for the exam can take admission in Management Programs offered by CMAT 2021 participating colleges. Earlier, AICTE conducted CMAT till 2018 following which NTA has been conducting the exam now.
For now, CMAT 2021 application process has been resumed and is scheduled to end on February 25, 2021. The last date to pay the application fee is February 26, 2021.
Official notice of NTA also reads: “Candidates who had applied earlier can opt for this course by editing their Application Form during the correction window which will be made available after the closure of this fresh registration.”
CMAT 2021: Exam Pattern (Revised)
The question paper of CMAT 2021 includes a total of 100 questions, with 25 questions in 4 sections: Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.
With the NTA’s decision to include a new optional section for Innovation & Entrepreneurship as per the advice of AICTE, there will be a total of 125 questions, however, the new section will be applicable for Innovation & Entrepreneurship aspirants only which is as follows:

CMAT 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to have the following eligibility criteria to appear for CMAT 2021 exam:
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Students in the final year of graduation can also apply for CMAT 2021
- No age limit applicable for CMAT 2021 application.
- No minimum aggregate marks (cutoff) required for application.

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply online for CMAT 2021:
- Visit the official website: cmat.nta.nic.in
- On the homepage, click on CMAT 2021 Application form tab.
- In the following page, check the self-declaration and click on ‘Click here to Proceed’.
- Add personal details, address, set password and security pin to register.
- Fill the CMAT online application form.
- Upload Scanned Photo and Signature.
- Pay Examination Fee and submit the application.
