Candidates who wish to apply for PhD admission at Calcutta University need to have a master’s degree in the required field (such as an MA or MSc in Psychology, etc.) with at least 65% marks or equivalent grades from any recognised university.

• To apply for PhD admissions, candidates need to have an M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology/Applied Psychology/ Clinical Psychology/ Developmental Psychology/ Experimental Psychology/ Social Psychology/ Health Psychology/ Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
• The selection will be based on an online written test and online Interview.
• Those who have cleared the UGC (JRF) exam/NET/SET/SLET/GATE /Teacher Fellowship or equivalent exam are exempted from the written examination.
• Candidates who have passed the M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or equivalent examinations are exempted from the written examination. 
• Such applicants need to appear for the interview round.
• Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of Calcutta University at caluniv.ac.in.

Step 3: Read the admission notice carefully and click on the admission form link. 

Step 4: Fill out the application form and attach a copy of mentioned documents with it.

Step 5: Pay the application fee and submit the form to the admission cell to complete your application process. 

Step 6: Applicants must also take a printout of the application form for all future needs.

Candidates need to submit the prescribed application form (obtainable from the Department of Psychology by paying INR 100) with scanned self-attested photocopies of required documents to the office of the Head of the Department by September 15, 2023.
