Dr. Abhijeet Kumar is a Professor of MBA at GGMIS. He completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at the undergraduate level and his MBA in Marketing from BRABU. Thereafter, he also completed his UGC NET qualification and earned a PhD in Management from Magadh University. Dr. Kumar holds over 15 years of teaching experience.

How can companies leverage social media platforms to enhance their marketing efforts what helps students in their placement?

As a teacher, my key role is not only to teach the book language but to also help students get into the best companies. Most companies want engagement activities that can leverage social media platforms to enhance their marketing efforts. This can help in creating engaging and shareable content that fits their target audience, utilizing targeted advertising to reach direct consumers and also actively engaging with followers to build relationships and trust. This helps the students to monitor and respond to feedback and comments promptly and measure the impact of social media campaigns to optimize future strategies.


How can students effectively apply marketing concepts in real-world scenarios and what strategies will help them?

As a teacher, my role is to help students find the perfect market fit. Some are good in FMCG, medical brands and some at consumer level goods. Therefore, being a teacher, I guide them to find the market fit for them. Students can thereafter effectively apply marketing concepts in real- world scenarios by gaining hands-on experience through internships, which are associated with the college, case studies and real hands-on projects. Students need to understand the practical application of marketing theories and strategies to succeed in the industry and that will help them in the better knowledge of their journey.


What are the current trends in marketing and how they can check the upcoming market?

As the trends change, any viral content can change the current trends. Some current trends in the field of marketing include the rise of digital marketing, influencer marketing, paid marketing terms and data-driven decision-making. These are the trends that students should stay updated on and follow the current market fit for the vertical they want to work in.

Explain your journey as a teacher and how you helped students come to your profession.

Being a teacher is a hectic job. As my interest was always been to work in the industry, I have worked for many companies. I have a total of 15 years of experience teaching and helping other teachers. I also completed my PhD in marketing during this time. My research interests include marketing papers, and I have published several papers in reputable journals.


How do you think students encourage in believing them to gain interest in Marketing?

Being a professor, my job is to make people believe in learning and also to use it in their daily lives. I believe in using various books, texts, and journals and involving students in discussions, which will create an environment of learning. By encouraging students to explore different perspectives, themes, and interpretations in Marketing, I aim to develop their analytical skills and enhance their understanding of the intricacies of Marketing works.
