How does the curriculum ensure the best practice of the industry?

The students have to choose Major and minor course specializations from different courses. Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Analyst, International Business Management, Rural and Tourism & Hospitality Management. So, students gain knowledge from various fields of management and can choose the field as their own goal and career choice. Industry experts seminars, internships, different projects for each course will help students to become industry ready.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students in the college?

There are many extra-curricular activities in college for the overall development of students. There are events like finance, marketing competition and case study competitions in which students learn and apply their knowledge. The various other days which are celebrated such as environment day, pollution day, and international yoga day. Festivities like Ganesh Chaturthi, Shiv Jayanti, and Guru Purnima are being organized in college. Cultural fest and sports day are organized to inculcate participation and enjoyment are organized by the student committee in the college.


What career options can a student choose after doing this course?

The students doing MBA can choose different specializations like Marketing Management, Finance management, Operations and other courses. So the people can join different industries like finance, consulting, supply chain management, fintech, and marketing. There are entrepreneurship committee that will help students if they want to start their own startup.


What are the different projects and industry expertise student’s gain in the curriculum?

In order to gain industry experience, the students have to do internships. They have to do 2 months of internship after the first year gets completed. The curriculum is designed such that each course has projects or assignments in which they have to apply the knowledge which they learn in that particular course. The students have major projects which could be research based in the field they study and projects have to be done under the guidance of the faculty so that students apply and learn while working on the project. There are many industrial visits to get industry exposure during the curriculum. Many seminars and webinars are conducted by industry experts for the students.

The MBA consists of many courses in college. The students have to choose Major and minor courses among the many options given. The prime duty of the department is to train, groom these young people to achieve their career goals and create a sustainable business environment for a joyful society. We want to help these managers straddle and contribute to the economic growth of India. The mission of the department is to train these budding managers to take on the challenges of the business world with confidence and courage. As India is on an economic growth trajectory and requires managers who exclude dynamism and professionalism.


What are the challenges faced while handling the course?

The students joining these courses come from different backgrounds. So, bringing the students on the same scale is the major challenge we faced while handling this course. The students have given basic introduction and teaching of all the courses such as mathematics, accounting, excel so that students get comfortable and learn all the courses. Also the other major challenge is that the world is getting advanced and trends are changing continuously. So, we work on connection between new trends and the curriculum so that students learn about new techniques and knowledge. We provide industry experts seminars and provide various courses for their overall development.


What new initiatives and collaborations has the college established with the Industry?

The college has tie-ups with many industries for field visit, industry expert’s session and guidance. The students visited the Volkswagen plant, Mahindra Steel plant, Emerson plant to learn from the industry experts and to look about the daily life working of the industry. The college has a large alumni base which helps new students get adequate guidance and support from experienced professionals.


How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

The curriculum is designed so that the students are up to date with the latest trends and knowledge about the field they are choosing in MBA. The students have to pursue a mandatory internship in a company where they get market exposure. The internship is of 6-8 months where students get to know about the corporate, how the work is done in a company, they have to work on a project in a team where they learn so much about the real world. The students also have the opportunity to work on live projects or field based projects to students that are interested in working on them. Many skill enhancement programs are done in the college to help students improve their skills and be industry ready.
