He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as an Assistant Professor in 2012. Before assuming the position of the HOD, he was the Assistant Professor at St.Mary’s Group of Institutions, Guntur. He obtained his master's degree from Hindu College (Acharya Nagarjuna University), Guntur. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, he has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style.

Being a HOD of the college, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

As it is an important role, I focus on the academic performance of every student and all-round development as the students are doing a professional course. So, I scrutinize the Attitude and behavior skills along with the Academics. I maintain A rapport with parents for a better understanding of the students.


How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

While dealing with students I smoothly make firm decisions by explaining the consequences of the deeds done innocently. As well as while chalking out department plans I take help from fellow faculty as well and I conduct the department meetings once a week without fail to maintain healthy relations with the staff.


How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

In gaining practical knowledge laboratories play a vital role. So, I encourage students to utilize lab resources effectively. As well as to make the students understand the ongoing industry needs I usually plan for seminars by Industry experts.


What are the best practices offered by the department to the students that help them gain the necessary skills? 

The best practices offered by the department to the students include career guidance classes, CRT skills, etc. So, the guests from outside are also useful to get them updated. Sending students for regular Seminars and Webinars to improve their communication and stage fear skills.

What are your views on the placements and higher education of the students from your department, and how does your department prepare students for higher education?

Updating is very important. Otherwise, the people or students get outdated. So, updating knowledge is very important. The better skills and knowledge students are only placing in the best organizations. 


How do you help your student cope with the competition being so high on the outside world? 

In my opinion, every student has a quality that brings out their talent, and handing it over to society plays an important role. Necessary technical and soft skills in their particular core branch are very necessary for the students to get better opportunities in society.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

I arrange mock interviews with industrial experts. So, the students can understand the ground-level situation. Through mock interviews, students will not fear interviews with experts and crack the interview comfortably and easily.


What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education in your department? 

Yes, I faced difficulties but overcame them with the help of my fellow faculty. Knowledge-oriented quizzes, puzzles, panel meetings, etc.

When you came to the college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same? 

I faced the student's background as the maximum of students came from Telugu medium. So, I arranged more language development because communication is very important for the software and MNCs. I improved my communication skills and other technical skills to students through CRT Classes.


How does the curriculum of your department/ college ensure the best practice of the industry? 

As we are discussing with industry experts continuously, the curriculum of our campus gets updated from time to time and the curriculum is necessary for the needs of the industry. We follow regular updates from JNTU and AICTE-advised norms to make a better future for students.


How does the department/ college/ university enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to industry standards? 

Maintaining a good rapport with industry experts and conducting Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) is important to keep the standards at the industry level. Regular CRT classes for the students with the coordination of Faculty makes students high standard.


What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from the curriculum to train/ teach the students? 

As we are discussing with industry experts continuously, the curriculum of our campus gets updated from time to time and the curriculum is necessary for the needs of the industry.
