What is your experience in the education industry?

My experience in the education industry has been very positive. It's a prime, ancient and evergreen industry, essential for providing both primary and higher education. With 29 years of experience at this institution, I can attest to its peaceful environment and the success of its alumni.

According to you, what is the role of a good leader?

According to me, the role of a good leader includes several key aspects. Firstly, their character must be strong and unwavering. Secondly, they must possess humanity, demonstrating compassion and empathy towards others. Additionally, a good leader should be patriotic, especially in the context of India. Therefore, my philosophy is that a good leader must exhibit strong character, humanity, and a sense of patriotism.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

My primary role is teaching, as teachers are fundamental to the educational process. Moreover, as the Head of Department (HOD), I also handle administrative tasks. With 29 years of experience and the distinction of overseeing the institute's first department, I am responsible for managing undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as the research centre affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. Research constitutes my third major responsibility. This involves leading various research projects, including government-funded initiatives, and supervising PhD students. My roles encompass teaching, administration, and research, all of which contribute to the department's and the institute's overall success.

What are the growth opportunities available for students in your institute?

At our institute, there are abundant growth opportunities available for students. Let me share an example: Vikas Raghuvanshi, a former student who post graduated (M.Sc. Chemistry) in 2023.. He is now employed at a Symbiotic Company, Indore. Currently, he earns a monthly salary of ₹40,000, which has significantly increased within just one year of completion. This serves as a testament to the bright prospects for our students. Pursuing postgraduate studies opens even more diverse opportunities compared to other undergraduate programs offered elsewhere. In essence, our program offers a wide range of opportunities for student growth and advancement. Our alumni hold various positions, with some working in the government sector, others running their industries, and still others pursuing careers in public and private sector,. We take pride in their achievements and the diverse paths they have chosen.

What is the top priority of your institute in the upcoming years?

Our institute's top priority in the upcoming years is aligned with the newly launched education policy by the UGC, the Government of India, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh. We are currently in the third year of implementing this new education policy, and our emphasis lies in preparing our students to be industry ready. This entails equipping them with new skills so they can excel in their respective fields. Additionally, we offer certified courses focused on entrepreneurship. These courses aim to empower students who aspire to start their own small-scale industries in the future. We are actively working towards these goals.

Any suggestions you want to give to the aspiring students and current youth?

Education holds paramount importance for children. Furthermore, children must cultivate a sense of humanity. With such values instilled, coupled with practical knowledge, their prospects for a bright future are assured. Alongside formal education, the acquisition of additional knowledge has become pivotal in contemporary times. Moreover, fostering humanity, kindness, healthy, strong character, respect to parents and should be emphasised. Indeed, the presence of these virtues is crucial. Being sensible in conduct is necessary to mitigate prevalent issues. It is my belief that adherence to these principles can help prevent untoward incidents.
