Kamal. V is the Head of BBA Department at KMM College of Arts & Science. He has pursued a B.Com. in Marketing and an MBA in Marketing and Human Resource Management. Additionally, he has 2 years of industrial experience along with academic experience. Furthermore, he has participated in the FYUGP Curriculum Development Workshop (BBA) conducted at Marian College Kuttikanam and MGU-UGP (Honours), zonal training for teachers.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

This is very important while choosing a program; factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for are developing their entrepreneurial skills, providing students to learn different learning platforms, having them interact more with public platforms, and providing industrial visits to interact with organizations. Students can choose their subjects to learn according to their skills.

What will you say are the “best practices” in the course your college is offering?

“Best Practices” in the course we are offering that students can learn not only from textbooks; they have to interact with societies and study how they become and how to get valuable input from that. Students can enter society and find out the problems facing different people and make a solution for that, helping them to achieve their goals.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Students are being prepared for the future; they have to face the different phases in their lives. For that, we are giving them how to face, how to live in challenging life’s, teaching moral values such as honesty and integrity that are useful for a successful life, developing their creativity and innovative ideas, and teaching them traditional and custom values. Expose them to real-world experiences from others.

How did you train yourself/your faculty to deliver this program to the students?

We are giving different types of activities to students to encourage their creative skills, learn experiments, and develop their innovative ideas. This will help them to reduce their fear mentality, improve their public speaking, etc.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

We are providing industrial visits to students to interact with various organizations; through those visits, students are more aware of organizations and their working conditions. One-month compulsory internship or project along with a report and company certificates. This will help them to learn different organizational cultures. We are giving teamwork for projects for more learning about teamwork.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

They can opt for theoretical and practical knowledge; they have to improve their managerial skills. They can learn more about their professional course earlier than before taking postgraduate courses, improving their personality development skills.

They can work in different sectors like marketing, finance, and human resource management; they can start their own business; and they can earn a high salary package at the starting level. 

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

My dedication level was to achieve our goals: create more awareness about students, create problem-solving skills, develop innovative ideas, create a dynamic and valuable environment where students feel good, and develop and lead innovative to promote students achievement and social responsibility.

What made you decide to become a teacher?

It is a great experience to become a teacher, we have learned more about it from the students side, made better relations with students, and gained experience. A teacher can share great experiences from life styles. We are learning more updates, we are facing from our side when we become students, and teaching is a challenging area because we are facing different situations. A teacher is a role model for every student.
