About You

The Politics and Public Administration course is particularly attractive if you are curious about how the political system operates. It is also very beneficial if you are uncertain about your future career choices and would like to pursue a general programme of study. The course has a combination of Arts, Humanities, Social Science and Business subjects that will enable you to develop a range of transferable skills.

Course Structure

The course is multi-disciplinary and you will take five modules each semester. In first year all students take a common programme in Politics, Public Administration, Law, Sociology and Economics. From second year, you will take core modules in Politics and Public Administration, Research Skills and two modules per semester from your chosen stream of either Law and Sociology or Economics and Management.

In fourth year you will continue with core modules in Public Administration, an elective module in Politics, two modules from either Law/Sociology or Economics/Management stream and the Final year project. Cooperative Education takes place in the Summer of year 2 and in Semester 5. ERASMUS exchange opportunities are available. An exchange programme with the American University, Washington DC, is in place for high performing students.
