What students say about Dublin City University

Likes

  • In my opinion, the course curriculum was of great significance in preparing students for real-life scenarios and teaching the relevance of research work.
  • The university assists you with CV guidance, but you have to look for a job on your own.
  • My university, Dublin City University, offered me a partial scholarship of 2000 Euro on the full application fee.
  • Campus life is awesome with various activities such as get-togethers, sports, and debates being available.
  • The campus accommodation has a lovely ambiance with shared and non-shared rooms, as well as fully furnished apartments you can choose from within the university.
  • There are more faculty in our class. For 65 members, we have better faculty, who are well-experienced and hold Doctorate degrees.
  • I had heard that the admission process is real quick. The course they offered had all subjects that were in my best interest.

Dislike

  • I would recommend DCU for other courses, but not this course because the faculty keeps changing

  • Nothing for now to dislike about the university since each and every thing is well organised and everything is kept in mind when it comes to academics or anything else.

  • Dislikes:
  • There are not such dislike only the main would be that if the masters would have been of 1.5 years or 2 years it would have been great. As 1 years of masters is little hectic and it gives you less time for modules and as the masters project requires a lot of time so it becomes hectic some time to complete all the 8 modules along with the masters project .

The experience is very much nice as I enjoyed my time in the university with the academics as well as the other activities and chilling in the campus and different function by the university . The playground areas movie nights which will make you feel like a home in the university itself.

  • Dislikes:
  • Learning materials for all the course modules can be updated as per the modern standards. The materials are still based on conventional studies which might be a drawback especially when pursuing a degree like Masters. Faculty should be hired on the basis of experience but also on their communication skills. Few of the faculty members, coming from different countries sometimes lack in their communication skills.

Overall experience is good. If you have the will and enthusiasm to participate in different activities along with your studies, then it can be a very good learning experience.

  • Course wasn't that great. Overall the university was good but the MSc in Digital Marketing course wasn't up to the level and the expectations. Moreover there are no placements or internships by the university

In terms of facilities, infrastructure and overall university experience DCU is an amazing option. However, the MSc in Digital Marketing course still needs some work in terms of structuring it, finding stable faculty and standardizing the course. For most of the masters programs they don't have a placement

  • Dislikes:
  • The vast exposure one receives and ample of opportunities to join and participate multiple clubs and societies allows for enthralling experience that makes it very difficulty to dislike the university.

The University takes pride in hosting well versed faculty and allowing students to conduct their own research in academics and practical world to upskill and nurture oneself for real-life scenarios. The faculty, and staff continues to support you long after the course completion so you can be sure you are in good hands even when abroad.

DCU is a very good business school and allowed me to complete 2 years in Boston as part of my course at Northeastern University. I also had the opportunity to do an internship in both colleges, which was very beneficial.
