Meet Shah Review at University College Dublin [UCD], Belfield | Collegedunia

A new step towards your success

MS
6.5 /10

I would define my overall experience as satisfactory. I wasn't too overwhelmed by the experience, as it is exactly what I expected, yet there were some things which were really surreal for me.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is quite interesting. As it is a research-oriented course, the course has been designed around how to do good research. There is no industrial exposure given to us yet, but our course coordinators have designed the curriculum based on the latest industry standards and how to go about with it.

Exams :

My scores: Duolingo 140 ; Class minimum score: GRE 290; IELTS 6.5; SAT 1520/1600; ACT 33/36, TOEFL 110/120. I had to submit my CV and SOP for my college application. I had mentioned my education, previous work experience and my key strengths on my CV. There were no interview rounds carried by the university for my course.

Placement :

The job-fairs and companies which come for placements will begin in October, but I've gotten several positive reviews on how UCD helps students with their placement support.

Internship :

I haven't opted for any internship yet.

Fees :

My tuition fee was 21,520 euros. I had received a scholarship from my university of 7,500 euros, which brought my payable tuition fee to 14,020 euros.

Scholarship :

I received a scholarship from my college, UCD, of 7,500 euros, which would be waived from my actual fee amount.

Faculty :

I really like the faculty that the university has appointed. They're quite experienced, and their teaching ability helps students grasp concepts and knowledge quite quickly. I really like how my professor, Madeleine Steeds, teaches us via memes and quite relatable terms, which helps us understand the concepts faster.

Campus Life :

The campus infrastructure is great, with several colleges and buildings within the university for us to explore. The events carried out by the college societies keep the energy high at all times.

Hostel :

I live at a student accommodation, which is a little expensive, but as a student abroad, the facilities provided by the accommodation company are very good, and I really like the infrastructure and the ambience that this place has.
