University of Potsdam Undergraduate Admissions

University of Potsdam offers a number of undergraduate programs to students who have graduated high school. The admission process and requirements for all undergraduate programs are similar. Some programs may require applicants to submit proof of passing the university’s aptitude test.

Admission Requirements: Applicants for bachelor’s degree programs must submit the following documents for admission:

• Submission of Applications (at least 3 of equal rank)
• Academic diplomas/ certificates/transcripts
• Submission of proof of having passed the university’s aptitude test.
• Proof of residency
• Recommendation from a Guidance Counsellor
• German language proficiency certificate
• English language proficiency test scores
• Copy of Passport

University of Potsdam Graduate Admissions

University of Potsdam offers a number of master’s degree programs in a variety of disciplines such as Astrophysics, Chemistry, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, etc. Some programs have free admission while others have restricted admission. The admission requirements for masters courses are as follows:

Admission Requirements: Graduate program applicants must submit the following documents for admission:

• Complete and submit the online application form
• A PDF format form will be generated after the submission of the form which needs to be signed and uploaded.
• Copy of the English/ German language graduation certificate from the applicant’s first degree (Bachelor of arts, science)
• Official transcripts of bachelor’s degree earned.
• Proof of German Language Proficiency
• Proof of English language proficiency.

The admission requirements for master’s degree programs depend upon the corresponding degree program. The requirements for some programs are given in the table below:

Once the uni-assist receives an application and forwards it to the University of Potsdam, applicants are notified regarding the same. On receiving the application from uni-assist, the University forwards it to the respective program department for further processing. Students are notified by mail once the entire process is complete. To check the status of the application after it has been forwarded to the university, students are supposed to contact the person responsible for the degree program they have applied for. Admission decisions for programs with free admission are sent on an ongoing basis while admission decisions for restricted admission programs are sent no earlier than 4 weeks before the application deadline.
