- I like the campus and the professors. The campus is great and natural. Professors were always supportive and highly qualified.
Placement:
It was good. Many companies visited, and various profiles were offered.
I chose this university as courses offered here are advanced and technical. And they also provide Accommodation support.
- Likes:
- The events and the parties held in the college bar. This college hosts amazing parties and offers a chance for people to meet each other by hosting events evey Friday with free drinks only for students.
- Dislikes:
- Nothing much to dislike here. Just the food quality is a bit low but it is still manageable and also there is a kitchen where you can cooke your own food.
Placement:
NA (have no idea right now about this process as I have not been involved with the placements personally).
Internship:
I interned in IDRG company, which is related to Regulatory science. It is unpaid at the moment but has future prospects for paid option after graduation. The process includes emailing the owners with your application including cv and cover letter with LOR (if you want). Then there is a round of interview.

- I love the international study environment. I think that's the best thing about this university. I also like the clubs at the university because it allows the students to bond outside of the classroom.
- Dislikes:
- I think one thing I dislike about the university is the high costs of living. The food at the cafeteria is expensive. The options are also limited. Other than that, the administration can be slow at times.
Placement:
There are a lot of career events on campus as well as updates. There is a life sciences event hosted by the University every year. Many scientific companies also come and showcase their products, sometimes offering internship opportunities to the students as well.
Internship:
I have done an internship in Sweden at SLU via the DAAD scholarship. An internship is mandatory as part of the fourth semester in my university.
- Likes:
- Campus and teaching faculties.,
- Infrastructure of the university.,
- Social life and many educational activities. Met many international students.,
- The Staff were friendly.
- Dislikes:
- "The University was far away from my residence. The fees of the university are very high. Sometimes classes used to run very late in the evening. So, it was bit difficult to manage the campus timings "
Placement:
Because of COVID during 2021- 2022, it was very difficult for us to go through all this process. Therefore we didn't have many opportunities during these days.
I wanted to join a logistics course. And after analyzing many factors, I chose this university. The experience with college was very good, enjoyable. We had a lovely social life and good friends.
- Likes:
- Extra-curricular activities offered and the open spaces on campus.,
- Also, the huge library and TOS. (The Other Side- Campus Bar).,
- The International environment is something I really like because of the networking opportunities.
- Dislikes:
- The food offered in the servery is sub-par, especially because I'm a vegetarian and the vegan options offered are not that great in my opinion. I'm also not a fan of the high tuition fees they charge.
Placement:
I know people have got great jobs after graduating but don't have a better picture to portray than this.
Internship:
I have a campus job as a TA next semester where I will work 20 hours a month and get paid 240 euros.
- Likes:
- As I mentioned before, I liked the environment the most. Yes, Bremen is a small town, and it lacks the vibrant feel of a big city. But the Jacobs ecosystem is so international that you never feel left out.
- Dislikes:
- The only cons are rising tuition fees and living costs in Germany. I believe that with more scholarship options and industry collaborations, students will be able to have an affordable tuition fee.,
- Also, housing facilities should be included for post-graduate and doctoral students to ensure that they don't face hurdles while living in Bremen.
Placement:
For Phd Students, there were no placement opportunities. But graduate students received support from the placement cell.
I chose this college as it is well-known for its English-speaking environment, and the group I applied to had a good reputation internationally. Jacobs University Bremen is a wonderful place to study. It is a completely English-speaking university, so international students face no language barriers. The onboarding process is very swift and supportive. The surrounding neighborhood is also highly supportive of student activities and not very costly to promote a student lifestyle. The calm and peaceful environment of the campus is worth visiting. During COVID-19, there were precautionary measures taken to ensure safety on the campus and emergency medical service was available 24*7. The overall experience is excellent, considering all aspects.
