College Review - JUB

K

I chose this university because of multiple factors- research facilities, International University, English courses in bachelor's, Highly ranked. The overall experience is great. The college has many meetings and events to incorporate as many people as possible and also help them socialize. It is a great university for international students as there are also intercultural trainings to share cultures and interact with new people. The course structure is fairly organized and the exam schedule is also quite managed.

Course Curriculum :

The course is quite updated according to current research globally. A lot of research experience is provided which is very useful for future prospects. The lab exposure is highly advanced and practical starting from basics.

Exams :

- My Scores: SAT 1290/1600, Duolingo 130. SAT is also not always required, sometimes we can skip it and then give it in college. - CBSE - 89% (12th); 89% (10th) - Requirements: CV - Education, Experience, Certifications, Languages, Contact.

Placement :

NA (have no idea right now about this process as I have not been involved with the placements personally).

Internship :

I interned in IDRG company, which is related to Regulatory science. It is unpaid at the moment but has future prospects for paid option after graduation. The process includes emailing the owners with your application including cv and cover letter with LOR (if you want). Then there is a round of interview.

Fees :

Approx. 20,000€/year for tuition.

Scholarship :

Yes, I got 4,000€/year as scholarship for good grades in high school.

Faculty :

There is low faculty to student ratio which is very beneficial. The faculty and staff is very responsive and understanding. They are very knowledgeable and approachable. The course head (HOD) Prof. Suzanne Illenberger had really impacted me. She was my Biochemistry professor and also my academic advisor in my first year and also taught me in my second year. She is really understanding and very prompt in her response.

Campus Life :

The college has a great student life and conducts a lot of events throughout the year. The clubs are student governed and are usually quite proactive to provide enough knowledge and fun at the same time to all the college students and try to incorporate everyone. The facilities on campus are very good and very well managed.

Hostel :

The rooms include individual, shared bathroom and bunked bed rooms. The average rental is approximately 7,000€ per year including food.
