NIOS Admission 2024: Stream-Wise

Admission in NIOS is done under 4 different streams – 1, 2, 3 and 4. The description of the streams is given below:

Note: NIOS organizes class 10 and 12 admissions two times a year (Block 1 and Block 2 exams) for each stream.

NIOS 12^th Registration 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates shall meet the following eligibility criteria to register for NIOS 12^th exams 2024:

• The age of the candidate should be 15 years as of January 31, 2024.
• The candidate must have passed the secondary board exams from any recognized board. 
• Candidates who have passed senior secondary exams but want to improve their scores can also take admitted to NIOS class 12.

NIOS 12th Registration Fee 2024

The exam fees for the NIOS 12^th theory paper per subject is Rs 300. The additional fee for practicals in subjects having both theory and practicals is Rs 150. The schedule for registration for NIOS October 2024 exams is given below.

NIOS 12^th Registration Procedure 2024

The detailed step-by-step procedure for NIOS class 12 admission is provided below:

Step 1: Visit the official admission portal – sdmis.nios.ac.in. The page for Stream 1 Block I admission will open up. 

Step 2: Click on ‘Click here to Register’ button. The application form page will open up. 

Step 3: Fill the details asked on the screen and click submit.

Step 4: On the next page, complete your basic details and click ‘Generate OTP’. 

Step 5: On successful verification, proceed further and add other optional details, subjects and upload the required documents. 

Step 6: In the review step, you can recheck all the details entered to avoid any mistakes. 

Step 7: Make the online fee payment and take a print out of the fee receipt.

Documents Required for NIOS 12^th Admission 2024

Candidates have to upload the scanned copy/soft copy (jpg, jpeg files) of the documents mentioned below during registration: 

1. Recent passport size coloured photograph
2. Signature (preferably in Black Ink)
3. Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card etc.)
4. Valid proof of Date of Birth
5. A valid proof of residence
6. Class 10th mark sheet 
7. Social Category/Caste Certificate (if any)
8. Disability certificate (if any)

What after NIOS 12^th Registration?

Candidates need to follow the below instructions after NIOS 12^th registration: 

• After confirmation for the NIOS 12^th admission, the authority will send an enrollment number on the registered mobile number and Email ID.
• Then candidates can download their ID card from the NIOS student portal.
• After confirmation of the admission, Students will have to pay NIOS exam fees.
