CG PET 2024 exam date has been revised. The authorities will now conduct CG PET 2024 on June 13, 2024 (Morning Shift). The registration window was open till April 7, 2024. It will be conducted as a pen-and-paper based test. This is a revision from the original date of June 6th, 2024.
Registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards online soon. Be sure to check the official website for the release announcement and download instructions. You'll need your login credentials to access the admit card. The Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) 2024 is a one-day exam with 150 multiple-choice questions. The test covers material typically learned in the 12th grade or equivalent.
Your score will be included in the official CG PET 2024 results. If you do well, you'll be invited to participate in a counseling session (CG PET 2024 counselling) where you'll rank your preferences for engineering programs. They will use your score, preferences, and available seats to assign you a spot in a program.
Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) conducts CP PET entrance exam for admission to Bachelors’ degree engineering courses. This state-level exam also accepts JEE Main scores to get entry to CG PET participating colleges.

CG PET 2024 Eligibility
The common eligibility criteria for all courses are:
- Applicant must be a citizen of India
- The applicant should be a resident of Chhattisgarh and should have a domicile in the state.
There are 3 courses that are offered. The eligibility criteria for different courses are given below:
For Engineering:
- Candidates must have cleared 12th grade from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or an equivalent board.
- The student must qualify in Physics, chemistry, mathematics, and one of the technical vocational subjects in the qualifying exam.
- Minimum marks for the general category are 45% and 40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)
For Agricultural Engineering:
- Candidates must be above 16 years of age on 31st December of the admission year.
- He/she must have cleared 12th grade from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or an equivalent board.
- Minimum marks for the general category are 50%(PCM+ English) and 40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)
- Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the exam.
For Dairy Technology:
- Candidate must be above 17 years of age on 31st December 2024
- Applicant must have cleared 12th grade from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarhi or an equivalent board.
- Minimum marks for the general category are 50%(PCM+ English) an40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)
- Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the exam.
CG PET 2024 Application Form
Applicants have to fill out the application form online. Firstly, candidates have to visit the official website and search for the “CG PET 2024 admission” link.
- Click and Download the CG PET 2024 Application Form.
- Fill in the required details.
- After successfully filling out the application form, applicants can get their registration ID number for the exam.
- Applicants now have to upload their passport-size photograph (4.5*3.5cm), thumb impression, and signature in JPEG format. The size of the file should not exceed 50kb and 40kb minimum
- To finish the registration process, a payment needs to be done. The application fee can be paid by credit card /debit card, net banking, or Bank challan of SBI Bank.
- Candidates have to enter their valid Aadhar no. /PAN card no. /A/C no. /Driving License No. in the application form.
- Once the applicant has submitted the duly filled application form, no changes will be allowable in the application form. Therefore, fill in the form very carefully.
- Candidates can also track their applications through the login window by entering their login details.
- There is no need to send the application form to the exam conducting body.

CG PET 2024 Exam Pattern
CG PET 2024 entrance exam is a 3-hour online-based exam.
- It contains 150 questions from 3 topics namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- One mark is awarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking.
- Attempting all 150 questions is compulsory.

CG PET 2024 Admit Card
CG PET 2024 Admit Card will be released online on the official website of CG Vyapam. It is available once the application process completes for download. Admit cards is not delivered to candidates via courier or post services. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without admit card.
Steps to Download Admit Card
- Firstly, visit the official website
- Use the application number and password to log in.
- Locate the “Admit card” tab.
- Click on the tab
- The admit card will get opened on a separate screen and can be downloaded from here.
Candidates will have to bring one photo ID proof (driving license/ voter ID /PAN card/Aadhar card or any other govt. ID) in which the photo of the applicant is attached and clearly visible, along with the admit card.
Exam Centers
A total of 27 exam centers will be finalized for the entrance test. The exam will be conducted on June 25, 2023, in several districts of the state of Chhattisgarh. The test centers will be allocated on first cum first-serve basis. It will be a very rare condition when a candidate is allocated a test center other than his preferred test center. The university however takes no request for a change of exam centers.

CG PET 2024 Counselling
CG PET 2024 counselling procedure has been started from August 11, 2023 for JEE Mains qualifying candidates and for CG PET qualifying candidates will be started for JEE Mains qualifying candidates and state quota qualifying candidates. No call letter is sent to the applicant individually. The Counselling will be held online. Candidates will need to register online for the CG PET Counselling 2023 procedure at the Directorate of Technical Education website. After registering, they need to fill out the options of colleges according to their choice and rank. The seat will be allotted on the basis of options filled by candidates and availability of seats.
Documents Required for Counselling
(a) All mark sheets/grade reports and certificates, Original of Class X and XII, Transfer Certificate, Leaving Certificate and Character Certificate from School.
(b) In case a candidate belongs to SC, ST or non-creamy layer of OBC categories, an Original caste Certificate as per Central Govt. is required.
(c) Medical Certificate should be presented if the candidate is Physically Challenged (PC). It should be issued by the Medical Officer of any Government Hospital with a description of the kind and the degree of disability.
(d) In case the Date of Birth is not mentioned in the Class X Certificate, a Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate is required for the same.
(e) Original e- Admit Card, Counselling letter from ICAR should also be present with the candidate.
(f) Three recent and clear passport-size coloured photographs need to be submitted. They should have the candidate's name and date mentioned at the back.
(g) Domicile certificate.
(h) Authority letter/undertaking in the prescribed format (Annexure-III of IB), if the applicant is incapable of attending the Counselling personally.
CG PET 2024 Result
CG PET 2024 results will be uploaded on their official website and can be checked from there. The results declared are on the basis of the cut-off list. If a student does not meet the cutoff list declaration, the student will not be qualified for Counselling. A separate merit list will be prepared by the exam conducting committee and posted on the official website. There will be no provision for re-evaluation of answer sheets.

CG PET 2024 Answer Key
Applicants will be able to download the answer key after a few days of the examination. The answer keys will be published in July 2023 (tentatively). The answer keys will be uploaded on the website by the exam conducting body. Candidates can claim the answer in case any answer in the answer key is incorrect.
