MS in Anatomy: What is it About?
MS in Anatomy is a postgraduate medical degree in general surgery requiring surgical expertise and such skills. The program is usually split between didactic and clinical training.
Students typically learn how to:
- alleviate pain during and after surgery
- maintain and restore stable conditions in patients through pain management.
- gain experience in a variety of subspecialties during clinical rotations.
Anatomy is about the structural organization of animals and plants. Phytology or Plant Anatomy deals with the interior structure of plants, while Zootomy or Animal Anatomy deals with the morphology of the human body. Interested eligible candidates are offered admission to the course in India mostly on the basis of a relevant entrance test. Often subsequently, two additional rounds of Group Discussion and Personal Interview are held as part of the counselling procedure, wherein the candidate’s general aptitude for the course is examined.
