MP MBA Admissions 2024 is conducted by the DTE, Madhya Pradesh, and the admissions are based on a state-level counselling on the basis of a valid management entrance exam score. The dates of MP MBA admission are now released.   

Students must appear for any of the MBA Entrance Exam to seek admission to the MBA Course in the MP Colleges. Students who have 50% aggregate or more in their graduation from any recognised university are eligible to pursue an MBA in Madhya Pradesh. Final-year students are also eligible to apply for MP MBA Admission 2024.

Top MBA colleges in Madhya Pradesh include IIM Indore, IIITM Gwalior, Jagran Lake University etc. Some of the top MBA Entrance Exams that are accepted to offer MP MBA Admissions are CAT, CMAT, etc. The average MBA course fee ranges between INR  2,00,000 – 17,50,000.

MP MBA Admission Process 2024

The MBA Admission Process in Madhya Pradesh is mostly based on the Entrance Exam basis. Candidates must clear the entrance exam to get their desired college. Most reputed private B-Schools accept CMAT, CAT, and MAT scores to offer admissions to the aspirants in the college. Below given is the admission process for MBA Admissions in Madhya Pradesh:

  • Aspirants need to check the official website and fill out the application/ registration form.
  • They need to upload all the necessary details like qualification details, personal details, education experience, etc in the form.
  • They need to pay the requisite registration fee online on the official website.
  • Aspirants are advised to check the website regularly to get the details about Exam dates, Admit Card and Result declaration.
  • They need to download the admit card before the entrance exam and appear for the entrance exam.

MP MBA Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to MBA courses in Madhya Pradesh must meet the below-given requirements to qualify themselves in the top Institutes. Below are the eligibility criteria that every aspirant must meet to be eligible for the MBA course:

  • Aspirants must have at least 50% to 60% marks in their bachelor’s or undergraduate (UG) degree from a recognised board.
  • Aspirants with a bachelor’s (UG) degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for MBA admission in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Relaxation in marks will be given to the candidates Belonging to the SC, ST or any other reserved categories.
  • Aspirants must have a valid MAT/ CMAT/ CAT score to be eligible for MBA courses.
  • They must score qualifying marks in any of these MBA entrance exams to be considered for admission to any management college in Madhya Pradesh.

NOTE: Students belonging to Madhya Pradesh state can get admission under the state-level counselling organized by the State Government for admission to State Quota seats in Government and Private MBA colleges of Madhya Pradesh. 

MP MBA Admission 2024: Documents Required

Aspirants must be present during the offline counseling session during the document verification process and the registration process. They need to keep an original and a photocopy of the documents. Below is a list of documents that the aspirants have to keep among themselves for the MBA Admission process:

MP MBA Admission 2024: Selection Process

MBA Admissions in Madhya Pradesh will begin after the common merit list of CMAT is announced by NTA. Below given is  detailed information about the selection process:

  • Admission to MP MBA colleges will be done via the counselling process based on this common merit list of the CMAT merit list. 
  • The final merit list and admission results will be announced only after the (GD) Group Discussion and (PI) Personal Interview rounds have been conducted as per the Counselling Process.
  • The assessment of aspirants will be based on their performance in the entrance test, GD and PI. 
  • Aspirants whose names appear in the CMAT merit list must take part in the MP MBA counselling process. 

MP MBA Selection for Candidates Without Final Year Results: 

  • Madhya Pradesh has allowed MBA in MP colleges to provide provisional admissions to candidates whose final year graduation results are not announced.
  • Provisional admission will be provided based on the previous year’s examination scores of the aspirant in the qualifying course. 

MP MBA Selection Process based on Other Entrance Exams: 

  • Candidates with a valid MAT/ CAT score must apply to private MBA colleges and B-Schools that accept these scores individually. 
  • Almost all the institutes conduct Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds to offer admission.

MP MBA Admission 2024: Reservation Policy

  • The Entrance Examination Board of Madhya Pradesh follows reservation policies of the state government strictly for MBA admissions under state quota or domicile quota for the aspirants. 
  • For management quota admissions in private MBA colleges, reservation policies of the state government do not apply to the MBA Admission Process.

MP MBA Admission 2024: FAQs

Ques. How many exams centres are there?

Ans. There are a total of 8 exam centres in 8 different locations. These include Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Riva, Satna, Sagar, and Ujjain. Candidates who want to sit for the exam must select any of these choices in the application form when applying.

Ques. Where will the counselling take place?

Ans. The counselling will take place in different counselling centres which will be intimated to the candidates who are qualified to appear for counselling. During the day of counselling, the applicant must come prepared with all the necessary documents and their photocopies.

Ques. What are the reasons for rejection of the application?

Ans. There are cases when the application form can be held up or rejected. This is mainly due to the mismatch in the information provided in the application form and the documents which are uploaded in its support.

Ques. What if there is a snag during online payment?

Ans. Sometimes faulty connections can cause problems during payments. If the money is deducted from your account then do not make a repeat attempt. Wait a while and try to check the payment status. If there is no deduction from the account, you can safely reattempt payment once again.

Ques. Can test centres be changed?

Ans. No detail or information can be changed once the application form is submitted. If the candidate selects the wrong test centre, then there is no choice but to appear in that place.

Ques. Should I go to IBS Hyderabad (ICFAI) for an MBA? Why or why not?

Ans. IBS Hyderabad isn’t a good option for MBA. The placement record of the institute isn’t good. You won’t get a good ROI. The course fee for an MBA at IBS Hyderabad is INR 16.02 lakhs. While the average CTC offered to the students according to IBS Hyderabad placement highlights for 2022 is INR 7.97 LPA.  The student intake is huge. Batch strength for MBA is 1300. Ques. I joined SBI as a PO in 2015 and currently a scale 2 officer. Is it wise to leave SBI for an MBA from NMIMS Mumbai, SIBM Pune or MDI Gurgaon? Also, I do not want to continue in SBI.

Ans. Since you do not want to continue with SBI due to whatever reasons, so it would be a better option to follow what you want to and don’t continue in your job. Now, you have three options to choose what you want to do:- You can resign your current job and search for a job in a private bank. This option might not be a feasible one as the entry-level pay at SBI is much more lucrative than other banks. Your experience might not be valued in case you do not have much of it. You can go for an MBA from NMIMS Mumbai, SIBM Pune, or MDI Gurgaon. In this case, your experience will be valued during the placement process and you will be an eligible contender for middle management jobs in private banks and you may also explore new fields like corporate finance or trade finance. The other option is to wait for two more years of experience and pursue a one-year MBA provided you are ready to continue in SBI for two more years. Furthermore, there are other factors as well like GMAT score you get after two years.Read more

Ans. Yes, NMIMS is considered to be the MBA college in Mumbai city and its MBA program is highly regarded among aspirants. Here are a few pros and cons of the institute that might help you  Pros The college is well-known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure. The classrooms have all modern facilities and the library too is well-stocked. Its location gives it leverage in establishing healthy industrial relations. The parity of the faculty cannot be doubted as they deliver excellent lectures. The academics are much more than just bookish language as students are made to solve Case-based studies. The food served in the canteen is quite good. Students get the chance to participate in lots of competitions and earn well, or get PPI. Cons : NMIMS fees are exorbitantly high. The first-year fee is INR 11.95 Lakhs. You also need to consider the expenses of living in Mumbai. Hostel faculties for only limited students  A few faculties have no interest in teaching.  The placement stats are inflated and thus misleading.  The MBA batch of NMIMS has a huge batch of around 600 students affecting the quality of education. There is a huge gap between the administration and the students.  Easy entrance exam affects the quality of the crowd. So, NMIMS was once a great B School but the increasing batch size has affected its reputation largely. You should never hold your career because of continuing with a regular MBA program rather than you should choose an executive program. For the executive program, you can choose a 1-year global MBA degree in collaboration with 3 B schools. They are Cardiff School of Management, UK, IIM-Indore, and Universal Business School, Mumbai. In this program, you will be able to learn from these big institutions, especially IIM’s. You will also be getting good global exposure. The curriculum of the college will be the British curriculum and all these programs will develop your skills and will help you in your career development.
