For students who want to pursue this course, they must secure at least 50% marks in their MBBS degree course final examination from a recognized college/University. The admission can be based on merit and sometimes entrance exams like NEET, NEET PG, JIPMER, etc. The students can apply for jobs in various sectors such as Nursing Homes, Industrial Hospitals, Army, Navy, and Air Force Health care centers, and corporate, general, and multi-specialty hospitals.

DMRD Admission Process

Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis [DMRD]: Admission Process

Admission to the DMRD course is mostly merit-based. But many colleges or private institutions require entrance exams like NEET PG, AIAPGET, PGI, etc. Hence the admission procedure may differ slightly for both types of admissions.

Merit-Based

  • The application process is completely online on the website of the respective college.
  • Students must register themselves on the link provided on the website. It is preferable to create an email id if the student does not have one as most of the communication will be done through email.
  • Submit scanned copies of all required documents such as mark-sheets, Id proofs, Caste/Migration/Transfer certificate, etc.
  • The candidate has to pay the application fee online which varies from college to college.
  • After the application fee has been submitted, the application process is complete. The college will put up a merit list post when all applications have been completed. The admission fee is confirmed after the students that have their names in the merit list pay the admission fees.

Entrance-Based

  • Post the announcement of the results of the required entrance exam, students can apply to colleges through the Central/State counseling process.
  • The official website of the Medical Council of India (MCI) uploads the link for the counseling where students have to register themselves to be a part of the process.
  • The candidates will be emailed their allotment letters for the colleges they desire to be in and have qualified for.
  • The admission will be confirmed only after the payment of admission fees to the college.

Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis [DMRD] Eligibility

  • Students are eligible to apply to this course if they have completed the MBBS degree course with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University/College.
  • Many colleges prefer entrance exam scores as a selection criterion.
  • The candidates should also be medically fit. They will have to pass a medical screening test.
DMRD Entrance Exams

Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis [DMRD] Entrance Exams

Most of the top colleges prefer to take admission through entrance exams. Some of the most popular entrance exams are tabulated in the table below:

Exam name Level Conducted by Application Period Date of Examination
NEET PG National National Board of Examination (NBE) January 24, 2024 – February 24, 2024 March 3, 2024

How to prepare for these entrance exams?

  • All these entrance exams contain multiple-choice questions based on the subjects that have been taught in the MBBS degree course.
  • These exams have a marking scheme that awards students 4 marks for a right answer and a minus one mark for a wrong answer. Hence, students must put in practice to not mark the answers to which they are not 100% sure of.
  • Focus on your weak subjects and keep making notes for revision.
  • Solve as many questions as you can with a timer so you can determine your speed to solve questions related to particular subjects and properly manage time during the examination.
How to get admission in a good DMRD college?

How to get admission in a good DMRD college?

  • To get admission into good colleges, students must aim to score well in their aggregate marks of the MBBS degree course.
  • Many good colleges have entrances as a selection criterion for admission. The candidates must also score good marks in these exams to get into these colleges.
  • Students must balance both their degree scores and prepare for their entrances as well since both are important to secure admission to the Diploma in Medical Radio-Diagnosis course.
  • All of this can be too much pressure, so students must take care of their health and not overwork themselves. Students must take their leisure time to relax their minds every once in a while.
