There are 2 exams, mid and end semester exams, exams are usually moderate im difficulty, with a pass rate of 60%, course relevancy is highlighted to us every day in class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted this course because of personal interest and I want to a Socoilogy Malayalam student. Not that much impact in real-world applications or further academic pursuits. There should be more field visit and live presentation should be included for improvements The semester exam occur every 6 months but Calicut University does not have 6 month time for study they are not of slow.exams are moderately difficult.

Faculty:

There are many courses like BA, bsc,Commerce. Teachers are highly qualified and most the teachers here hold PhD or masters in their selective subject. Most of the teachers here are very friendly and open minded. There are total 6 semester exams for UG students and 4 sem exams for PG students. The exams are moderately difficult.around 5-10 students fail to clear exam

The college's campus is overall average. It is good for sports but it doesn't have much seating area. The teaching method of all the faculties is quite good. The faculties make sure the lectures are engaging and notes are provided time to time. we have good infrastructure but it needs more improvement. We have smart boards not wifi facility or any sort of internet facility. They aren't well maintained and need proper attention and improvisation. The corridors aren't maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching methods are overall good but there are some faculties that just provide notes and leaves which should be changed. More explanation is needed and group projects and assignments should be provided in order to motivate team work. There should be presentation based projects so that public speaking of a student can enhance as well.

There are almost 4600 students in the college and there are 216 faculties in the college. The faculities provide a group of efficient qnd trustworthy teachers who are approachable for any matter that bothers the student. The faculity of sociology is close to my liking as it is my core subject. There are internal exams in the middle of a semester to evaluate the students . This is also for the students to ease tense before the main exams.

The faculty to students ratio is approximately 1:15 , allowing for personalized attention and mentorship. The faculties are approachable I admired *Mr. Umesh kushwaha* , Mr. Yugesh Deshmukh sir for their in depth knowledge engaging teaching style I didn't want to say the faculties name I didn't like because of my respect towards them . I didn't connect with them because of their rigid teaching style In bachelor of arts there is only 1 yearly exam and difficulty of exams are depend on students preparation.course curriculum is relevant enough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I want to clear competitive exam and this college is so old and trustable Very well enough The teaching method needs improvement and improvement in college facilities (eg; projector) The timing of the exam is 3 hour as a BA student we should write one answer in 8-10 pages and there is 5 answer so sometimes we face shortage of timing but we should move our hand faster. It's not any complaint according to me

The fest of my college is mainly called as ULLAS which is held every year . During the fest season every department hosts its fest differently which is reallyyyyy exciting as you get engaged with people from different backgrounds and helps you socialize. The library on the other hand has a wide range of books of every discipline. There are many sports activities conducted in the college including NCC is also widely practiced. There are many societies which work on different things like dancing, singing, dramatics etc which makes the college experience more mesmerising.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees of my course which is SOCIOLOGY HONOURS it is around 13500 which is the annual fee of the whole course including tution fees and all the fees is not that much exaggerated in different categories though it is the total one . Our college does provide us with scholarships and fee concessions for the financially backward students.

Faculty:

The college was quite good for studies every teacher was always supportive and encouraging to us. Infrastructure was bad but the teachers are always trying to make up for it. The faculty have about 80 students so I think it is good for our learning experience. The faculty members were supportive, and encouraging and had good character. We always have an interaction program for teachers and students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I think that the fee structure was quite reasonable. The fee structure for Art subjects was about 3000 to 4000 and the science subjects had a structure of 4000 to 5000. The central government has provided some scholarships like NSP which has an amount of 8000 rupees but the state government doesn't have any scholarship program.

Faculty:

We have different classes, such as in combined class all the students are taught in one class, the interaction is okay types, but most the concept is clear, the faculty taking combined classes are knowledgeble but I do not have much interaction because of the strength of the class (high - 64). For our major and minor subjects, Major consists of 4 students and minor with 11 students. Both of the faculty members are very much knowledgeable about their field of teaching, they are very interactive and we also do not have problem interacting with them, they are anytime available for any questions and queries, they are very much helpful and supportive towards each of us.

Ques. How do I prepare for the BHU BA (Hons.) in social science entrance exam?

● Top Answer By Sayanti Shome, on 11 Nov 21

Ans. One of my friends studied at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). According to him, BA social science entrance exam demands you to be knowledgeable in the field of humanities.  All you have to do is cover the current affairs section very well and along with that keep an eye on the previous year's questions. Some questions include topics on psychology or philosophy. For this, you don't have to go through the topics elaborately. You can solve previous year's questions to get a general idea. These are a must to pass BHU BA Social Science entrance examination.  For current affairs, you can keep yourself updated by reading newspapers and magazines. This will improve your vocabulary and writing ability. Knowing history will also be helpful. So prepare accordingly.Read more

Ques. What is DUs syllabus for BA Humanities and Social Science Admission test?

● Top Answer By Sneha Paul Sam on 12 Oct 22

Ans. To begin, one must mentally prepare to continue reading newspapers every day and attempting to comprehend editorial opinions and social issues. It would be beneficial to read some philosophy books based on your own understanding, thereby increasing your ability to think about society in terms of how well-educated people perceive women, girls, and people's difficulties. A good understanding of General Studies and your 12th-class texts from the Arts field is required.  The entrance exam is not based on math, reasoning, or English; rather, it is based on your social background, as well as your opinion and mindset. This entrance has only 20 or 30 seats. So be cautious, and good planning will ensure your success.Read more
