i liked the how experienced and helpful our faculty is.
i liked how we have internships options in our 3 rd year so that we can have an actual industy experience.

i dislike the how our college campus is so small.
i dislike our how we have to spend money other than fees on print outs

n the 3rd year people start doing the internships , and in the 4 th year people start working in the industry, the average package is 1200000 per year , my plans after getting the degree is to get experience as a graphic desgner in a big company.

I like the small size of my class as it allows us to have one on one learning with our professors.
the acces to so many new tools, and so much new technology.

Dislikes

our campus is not the best or the biggest.
sometimes I feel like sod students are a little away from the rest of the college courses.

Placement Experience:

as I am only in the first year, j do not fully know the details of my college placements. from year 4, we will become eligible for them, and my college is known for having very nice packages, specially for newly graduated students.

The faculty is really great with amazing industry connections
The course structure of sod is offered nowhere and is upto the industry standards and is revised every year as per industry requirements

Dislikes

The campus could’ve been more spacious along with some of the other co-curricular arrangements

Placement Experience:

Our college offers great placements and industry connections. After the capstone projects, fourth years are eligible to apply for campus placements and internships. Companies like Walmart, deloitte, axis, freecharge etc are some of the reputed recruiters. highest package that was allotted in 2023 was of 22 LPA. There is a 100% placement record of NMIMS SOD for all years since it's existence.

Course and wide range of subjects , Amenities in the classroom

Dislikes

Faculty selection for module, like every faculty is best in his/her field but they should only teach their respective subjects not the rest of the subjects.
The work load management is not good as the course is teaching wide variety of subjects, so every day i am sleeping around 1 in midnight to complete all projects assigned

Placement Experience:

- After 4 semesters you are eligible for the internships and after 8 semesters you are eligible for the placements. - Deloitte 8 LPA, Walmart 8LPA etc - 100% of the students are getting placed - my plan is to get a job via campus recruitment

Campus placements are done after you complete your 4th year. NGO internships are done in the second year. As of now, 100% of students have got placement in the past years. Good companies like Deloitte, Walmart, and fractal design come to offer you jobs.

Placement Experience:

The 4th year in college consists of a 6-month long credited industry internship. The companies that come for placements range over various sectors such as fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, edutech, design agencies, etc., and various job titles as per the role required. For my 6 months internship, I interned at Axis Bank- Freecharge as a Product Designer. It was a refreshing, insightful as well as motivating experience. Understanding and designing end-to-end fintech products gave me the opportunity to understand the industry practices is in design as well as fintech. The learnings from college helped me perform well and collaborate with various teams. NMIMS SOD aims at making individuals industry ready for when they step out, and I can confidently say that they have made that happen. Placements take place in the final year & include companies that give students a pre-placement offer based on their performance during the internship and new companies that come for final placements

A student gets an insight into the real world at 3 stages during the course: 1. The 1 month NGO internship in the third year of college. 2. The 6 month industry internship during the fourth year of college 3. Placements post graduation At each stage, the college assists the students and brings in a list of places they could apply to. Students also have the choice to decide for themselves and apply directly in case they wish to do so.
