It was really nice. Average syllabus. Professionally well trained teachers. Good opportunities to get enough exposure and develop various interpersonal skills. Has a good exam pattern and scoring system.
The course is structured as a mixture of different courses. Since I am doing a bachelor in arts, we have a choice of choosing 3 subjects for our 1st year which will be carried forwarded in the 3rd and 3rd year.
The curriculum is intact. We have a 60 40 marks pattern. The faculties at the college always try to engage students in various activities while we are studying in class. We have a defined system of rules which we need to follow.
The course is similar to what we have studied in 12th. Being from the commerce background, I found it very easy to score and maintain a high CGPA among my peers. I have heard that the college is soon going to change the curriculum and make it more fun going.
Usually, the faculties in the college are teaching in the college for many years, so they have an upper hand on the education system of the college. Sarita ma'am is one of the best Economics teacher of the college.
Jai hind college became autonomous 2 years back, when I was in my first year. So there was a lot of changes which were going on when I started by under graduation. But, everything takes time. It took a lot if time for teachers as well as students to understand the curriculum but the overall result was pretty good.
Our course syllabus is fully updated with regard to recent times. Though sometimes we do not get enough industrial exposure, some faculties like that English and Psychology are really good.
Our faculty was quite experienced, who have been teaching from years and our syllabus was rightly up-to-date. We had 100 marks paper at the end of each semester. The paper was theoretical as well as practical.
Since the college is autonomous, we have a system of AA and AAA credits which we need to get during the course of 3 years. These credit points will be reflected in the final year marksheet. There are various ways to earn these credit points.
