Govt. College Hoshiarpur Admission 2024: UG & PG Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Selection Criteria
Government College, Hoshiarpur was established in 1927 as an intermediate college for studies. It is affiliated with Punjab University, Chandigarh, and recognised by UGC.
At the UG level, the college offers a B.Sc. in Agriculture and a B.A. in different streams for a duration of three years. To be eligible for admission to these courses the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 50% from a recognised board.
Admission to the B.Sc. program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in PU-CET (UG). Admission to the B.A. program will be done on the basis of merit.
At the Criteria for PG level, the institute offers an M.A. with 6 specializations and an M.Sc. for a duration of two years. Admission to the M.A. program will be based on the merit list and graduation results from any recognised university.
Selection to the M.Sc. program will be done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in PU-CET (PG) exam.
The Gov. College also offers admission in performing arts with the 50% aggregate in 10+2 examination from any recognised board.

No compartment examination results will be entertained while the admission process. Also, Candidates below 50% are not eligible for the admission process.

Passing criteria for the course is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. Also, the aggregate percentage of the best 4 subjects in 10+2 must be above 60% for attending the examination.
For BA, candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognised board with 50% aggregate marks. Admission criteria are based on the age preference and 10+2 result

- The first step is to register online through Government College, Hoshiarpur portal.
- Fill the required details correctly, Read the undertaking and if you agree then click I accept. (Note: A person can only register on time).
- Verify all the details and check the spellings twice. Once done, click on save and register.
- Pen down your password, applicant id and click on continue. This email id and password will be used for further communication in future regarding admission and other details.
- After this, fill the personal details section such as an address, family name, occupation etc. Save and Continue.
- Upload a scanned photograph. Click upload and save.
- Upload scanned signature. Click upload and save.
- There is a reservation page, if you want to apply for reservation scholarship then add all the mentioned details otherwise click save.
- After this fill your previous 10+2 class details, subjects, grades, percentages and click save to continue.
- At last, choose the course and stream that you want to apply to. Once details of courses are saved it cannot be changed. You can add multiple courses.
- Click on save details. You will receive an OTP at your registered mobile number, fill the OTP on the screen and click save and register.
After completing the registration process, take a print out of the registration form. Make changes if required and reprint. Otherwise, keep it with you for online campus verification.

Actually i think the main reason behind my decision is fee structure. Because my parents cant afford high fees. So the fees in this college is very reasonable and the method of teaching is very simple and understanding here.

- The college students don't use dustbin for garbage and the availability of dustbins is also very less.

The admission process is completely online and I got admission in 2020 the admission process is very simple and after registering I will get a message from the college in which there is my applicant I'd and the password for the college website is available. after some days I will get a message from the college that this is your roll no. and I got admission to college. Admission to college basically depend upon your percentage in the 12th class.

Student should have cleared class 12 with good marks about 60 percentage then he or she will be eligible to apply for the course.Application form is submitted online and fees is paid using net banking.if you want to apply offline then visit the department of college.

Application for the course can be applied online via a cafe and payment can be done through net banking. Reservation benefits are also provided by the college. But you have to visit the college several times for the admission process, this is what I want them to improve.
