BIMTECH Admissions 2024 (Open): Dates, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Eligibility, Selection Criteria & Application Process

Ans. BIMTECH offers admission to PGDM, Fellowship and Certificate courses.

Ans. Yes, BIMTECH offers an online 2-year PGDM programme with a fee structure of INR 2.75 Lakhs.

Ans. The specializations that are offered in the BIMTECH PGDM Programme are Marketing, Finance & Banking, and Human Resources while in the PGDM (International Business) programme, specializations offered are – Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance and Banking, and Operations.

Ans. BIMTECH offers 5% of the seats to the ESCS (Economically and Socially Challenged Students) category which includes SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Minority Communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/Parsis & Jains) to bring social diversity. These students are also given some additional weightage in the calculation of the merit score.

Ans. BIMTECH undertakes students for admission on the basis of scores in the CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT examination along with the PI round. 

Ans. Candidates applying for the PGDM 2024 programme at BIMTECH will have the opportunity to be shortlisted early based on their profile for the PI round in December 2023 (if they apply for the first round). BIMTECH PGDM 2024-26 aspirants can get the chance to be shortlisted early based on their profile and participating in early PI sessions in December 2023.

Ans. BIMTECH accepts the CAT scores for admission to the PGDM course. The eligibility criteria for the CAT entrance exam are: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree with 50% marks in aggregate. 
• Candidates having a CS/CA/ICWA degree are also eligible to apply.
• For reservation categories, there is a 5% relaxation in the qualifying percentage and also qualifying percentile is subsidized for such candidates. 
• Reservation in the CAT exam is offered as per the Government of India guidelines.

Ans. The marking scheme of the XAT entrance exam for admission to BIMTECH is as follows:

• There will be 100 MCQs as opposed to 99 earlier.
• Each correct answer will get you 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• There is no negative marking in the GK section.
• XAT marking pattern has a unique feature: Beyond 8 unanswered questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted for each unanswered question.

Ans. There are 3 papers in the CAT entrance examination: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning.

Each paper holds the following numbers : 

• Quantitative Ability - 34 
• Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension - 34 
• Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 32 

Ans. The students appearing for MAT have to carry Identity Proof, MAT Registration and Admit Card at the exam centre in order to be eligible for admission to BIMTECH.

Ans. At BIMTECH Noida, 85 per cent of seats in all programmes are filled through the general category while 5% of seats are kept reserved for ESCS (Economically & Socially Challenged Students) category students.

Ans. Yes, sponsored candidates are eligible for BIMTECH PGDM admissions. 10% of seats will be filled through the Corporate Sponsored/NRI/NRI sponsored/International Students category. The applicants will have to produce the following documents at the time of submission of the first instalment of tuition fee:

• A sponsorship letter from the company in the format prescribed by the Institute.
• The sponsoring company must have a minimum annual turnover of INR 50 crore as reflected in the latest financial statements available. The self-attested photocopy is to be submitted, failing which the first instalment of the tuition fee will not be accepted.
• For NRI Sponsored: Passport copy and visa or evidence of NRI status all duly attested by a qualified notary or Indian mission/consulate or Indian Chamber of Commerce in the country of residence or by consulate/mission/ embassy of the concerned country in India is required. 
• For NRI Sponsored: Proof of income under which a minimum of 50,000 USD per annum of the sponsorer will also have to be declared.

Ans. The BIMTECH cut-off is not pre-defined and can be ascertained by the previous year's trends. For PGDM Batch 2022, the overall cut-off percentile stood at 72.5 for general candidates. Under the sponsored category, the weightage criteria for the same is 10%. 

Ans. Yes, while shortlisting candidates, BIMTECH provides 7% weightage to the experienced candidates. Under the sponsored quota, the weight criteria is 10% for such candidates. The weightage for work experience would ideally be provided only if the applicant had worked for a minimum period of one year.
