Eligibility

Kumaraguru College of Technology UG Selection Criteria

The Government of Tamil Nadu makes admission to B.E/B.Tech courses of all the affiliated colleges through TNEA Counselling administered by Anna University, Chennai.
A merit list is prepared based on the class 12th board exam.
Candidates whose names are mentioned on the merit list have to appear for the TNEA counselling.
Such applicants need to first register on the official portal of TNEA.
After registration, they have to visit at any of the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs) along with their documents for verification.
Upon successful verification, candidates have to fill the choice of course and college (KCT)
Based on the choices filled and score obtained in board exams, seat allotment will be done
Those who will be allotted a seat need to confirm the seat and report at the allotted college in order to complete the further admission process.

How to Apply for UG Courses?

The application process to apply for the TNEA Counselling in order to get admission in UG courses is mentioned as follows:

Go to the official website of TNEA.
Register yourself by providing a username and password.
Login with the above credentials to fill the online application form.
Fill all the necessary details including the preferred TFC for document verification.
Make payment of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/SCA/ST categories) and then submit the form.
After submitting, you will receive a PDF document through the TNEA Application Processing System.
Take a printout of the same and affix a recent passport size photograph.
Submit this printout at the TFC for verification.

NOTE - Candidates need to download an E-Call letter from the official website of TNEA which will contain date, time and address of TFC. An email and SMS will also be sent to registered candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good lab facilities. Excellent staffs. Teaching methods are practical and efficient. Faculties love interacting with students. We had 2 semesters In each year barring the first year which was considered to be a non-semester. Exams were a bit difficult but considering the Faculties we had, it was no big deal. I had about 59 students as college mates and the pass percentage was 98 %.

I chose this course because this provides me with oppurtunities from both my core side and software side. I wanted to take this course as a challenge and so far i am satisifed with my decision. Faculties are friendly, flexible and approchable. They clear your doubts without any patiality and make us clear with our concepts. All faculties are bilingual and take classes in both tamil and english and make classes interactive. Exams are easy if a student listens to all his classes, its not all about marks but also our knowledge about that subject. Scoring marks is not difficult as we gain more knoledge in our college.

Curriculum is based on Bloom's Taxonomy, Open elective subjects were also provided where we can choose the subjects we wish even from the other departments in the last two years, Faculties were good. Malarvizhi Mam our EEE HOD. She teaches the subject with the practical examples so it directly teaches the students

The Fee structure is flexible and you have to pay college fees before the education year begins and the hostel fees is also that. Other than that you will be paying exam fees per semester. There were no other fees collected during college time
