Kumaraguru College of Technology UG Selection Criteria

The Government of Tamil Nadu makes admission to B.E/B.Tech courses of all the affiliated colleges through TNEA Counselling administered by Anna University, Chennai.
A merit list is prepared based on the class 12th board exam.
Candidates whose names are mentioned on the merit list have to appear for the TNEA counselling.
Such applicants need to first register on the official portal of TNEA.
After registration, they have to visit at any of the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs) along with their documents for verification.
Upon successful verification, candidates have to fill the choice of course and college (KCT)
Based on the choices filled and score obtained in board exams, seat allotment will be done
Those who will be allotted a seat need to confirm the seat and report at the allotted college in order to complete the further admission process.

How to Apply for UG Courses?

The application process to apply for the TNEA Counselling in order to get admission in UG courses is mentioned as follows:

Go to the official website of TNEA.
Register yourself by providing a username and password.
Login with the above credentials to fill the online application form.
Fill all the necessary details including the preferred TFC for document verification.
Make payment of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/SCA/ST categories) and then submit the form.
After submitting, you will receive a PDF document through the TNEA Application Processing System.
Take a printout of the same and affix a recent passport size photograph.
Submit this printout at the TFC for verification.

NOTE - Candidates need to download an E-Call letter from the official website of TNEA which will contain date, time and address of TFC. An email and SMS will also be sent to registered candidates.

We can choose elective courses also.We also had some exposure to industries.Mohana sundaram sir was very good at teaching and he is an awesome teacher who could make us listen to him and that was an awesome experience learning with him.
All students above 8.5 will be allowed to take fast track and can go internship at last semester.

Our fee structure is quite expensive and it is hiking through every semester. But on the other hand, it offers everything a student requires qualified food to great education and from an excellent way of teaching to great ambitious careers. The fee structure for us is totally feasible. We can either pay it for each semester or we can pay for a year. They also give us a lot of time to pay our fees. The college management provides scholarships to those students who excel in either academics or any other extracurricular activities in the name of Mahatma Gandhi.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I never applied for financial assistance since i offered to choose payment seat. The fee structure for free seat was about 40000 per year. For payment seat it was 80000 per year. Yes. These days colleges offer stipends for scheduled tribes students.

All fees are moderate, they provide enough time for students to pay the fees and are considerate when it is not done on time. If we are unable to pay, we can avail more time by stating proper reason for the same with proof. Many internship oppurtunities are also available from companies like Bosch, Sama technologies etc with good package ofr internships. Our college provide Mahatma Gandhi scholorship for students who have excelled in academics for each year, this is based on our marks, performance and teachers review.

There is a slight difference in fee structure between students who came through merit and management. They also provide a lot of scholarships for all deserving students. A canteen is being run by students here where one can invest money work part-time and gain profit out of it at the end of one academic year.
